There wont be any rejections before match for interviewed people. all the prematches means they found candidates they are ready to admit now but fill the rest of the class based on how the other interviewees as time progresses.

My two best friends @skeptastic and @MCAThiccy (he better stay in Texas) on SDN in 2023 threads are going to be playing beach volleyball next year if everything goes according to schedule.

@skeptastic - your journey aint over yet but at least you know your path is set. How are them students taking it?

Will they send rejections or just wait until match? And then if you don't match they just want you to take the hint?

Some schools do send rejections after match (you may need to check each SDN thread from last year - I know Lubbock did last year) but most Texas schools just leave them open. If one receives a match or an admission even after match, all waitlists disappear for that person on May 15th.

I also prematched at 11:09 AM today. Interviewed 9/28.
Congratulations to everyone who prematched, and if you didn't, please keep your head up high. There is still so much time left in the cycle, don't feel down 🙂

For those who also prematched, I was curious about whether or not you're seeing it in TMDSAS. As for me, it still says "You have no prematches at this point".

Give it a week or two. UTMB has to go into their portal and update things

But, unless that's what you want, I am naturally hoping you take advantage of some of those tremendous II's you've had and hit the big-time! I see you Cornell-Yale!! LOL!

Thank you so much! I am so late replying to all the comments in this thread, as I had a busy day of calling all my family, my wife, and then taking my son out for a good time this evening. I really appreciate your kind words and support. SDN is awesome!

You're right! There may still be more exciting news to come, but I sure am grateful for today's huge news. It still hasn't fully sunk in because I've been running around all day.

I actually took the day off of subbing and stayed home. I wouldn't have made it home in time after work to get to the event I surprised my son with. We had a great time, so it was worth passing up on a few bucks, haha.

Thank you so much skep!! It was legit my dream school and my top choice. Nontrads are so needed out there and we are killing it. Super proud of us!
 
Can we expect new IIs before the end of this month? So far there are no IIs from UTMB in the month of October.

Sorry to hear it. They likely won’t tell you why you were turned down, either a red flag in a letter or an off day for you in your interview.
There is still time to get other interviews!

Why do you think they sent an R instead of waiting until match? Is this common?

It just means they hand out a healthy number of prematch offers. Even those who prematch at one school may end up at a different one on Match Day.
 
What I wanna know is which school handed out 160 or 170 (I forget the number) prematches last year! I hope they interviewed me, lol!

No problem at all! At this point in the cycle, we're all receiving a flood of SDN notifications, checking out other threads, checking our email inboxes, portals, and still living. We're all missing message all day, haha! For example, I am missing my prematch email from Dell 🤣

You deserve it! More good stuff to come for all of us!
 
On interview day, I was told the school doesn’t care about our stats since we got the interview. They just wanted to see how well we conduct ourselves. Does anyone know the likelihood of lower stat applicants actually receiving an acceptance or how much it plays in an admissions decision? I saw 0 % of people with my gender/score/race matriculated from TMDSAS data last year, and I’ve been kinda nervous.

Wait that's crazy. Most of my stations here ended early because I completed the response but they always told me they were gonna let me move on beforehand
