DD, IS. Is this basically just their way of saying they ran out of time to make decisions and didn't want us all to be mad like last year when all of their estimates were off by like three months?

Accepted IS, interviewed mid-October. I kinda think from their website that they said they would release IS decisions in December so maybe this wave is just IS?

I would agree! According to a recently published interview with the Associate Dean of Admissions, she is making the push to accept updates; however while the site is not open to update submission right now, she will try to make sure update letters are reviewed if they are emailed in.

I'm not sure about this. I emailed an update letter on 10/06 and admissions emailed back saying "Thank you for the application update. We have added this letter to your application file." I applied in August and have not yet received any II or rejection. This isn't the first medical school I've seen where the website info is just not up to date, and it says they do not accept updates, but then when you email them to inquire they actually do. Have also seen some discrepancies between MSAR and website stats and numbers for multiple schools. Just suggesting that websites may not be up to date.
What was your format for the letter? PDF? Word document?

I emailed a PDF! I made it pretty concise and to the point. Header with my name, AMCAS ID, Date, and 2 individual paragraphs per each experience I was adding with a heading for each.

What did you put in the email when you sent the PDF? I am struggling with what to say

Just use your best judgment lol, a simple email will suffice!

Here is a template you might use: "My name is _____ (AMCAS ID _____) and I am a current applicant for the Doctor of Medicine program at the University of _______. In the case that the University of ______ accepts updates during the application cycle, I would like to submit the following letter describing new activities/experiences to my file. Please let me know if this is possible. The admissions committee must have an overwhelming number of applicants to review, and if for that reason updates are not accepted, I understand. Thank you, I appreciate it!"

Didn't expect it but got an OOS II this week. Part of me thinks its a mistake because I figured they were out of the office this week.

complete 7/27 and radio silence so far, anyone else in the same boat? also when do they even offer interview until?
Yes, except I was complete in September, and now some ppl complete in October are getting interviews. I wonder if they'll come back to us lol
I don't know until when they offer interviews

I interviewed at the beginning of November and just wanted to confirm… they accept post-II letters of interest/intent, right?

I’m OOS so I don’t expect to hear back until mid-January, but I wanted to hopefully get a letter in before the year’s end. Thanks everyone!

Are there opportunities for interviewed students to visit campus in person?
For accepted students, there are a few more in-person Closer Look days at the end of this month and in March. You can also touch base with the admissions office to set up a tour or lunch with a student if there's another day that you'll be around Burlington. I don't think there's anything specifically offered if you've interviewed but are still awaiting a decision.

Stay patient. I was complete a week before you and I just heard back this last Wednesday (II). I 100% assumed I was never gonna hear back. Also, check your spam once every day. That's where my email went. Good luck!
Congrats! And I appreciate it!

When do people get off the DD? I’ve been on it for like 3 months D;

I'm interviewing on Wednesday. So has nobody heard back this cycle post-interview?
Good luck! I think they are just extra slow this time of year. They are already known for taking there time but yes people from earlier in the cycle have heard back
