Anyone else get a “merge ID” email from IT and can no longer log onto portal? It says my username cannot be identified, so weird

Edit: I thought it was scam at first when I got it yesterday but now that I can’t log onto the portal, wondering if someone tried to hack into my account ?

yes this happened to me! it happens when you applied previously to their school (ex: i applied to their undergrad years ago). i emailed their admissions office last week Friday to find a solution and am waiting for their response

just wanted to give an update to anyone else who’s experiencing issues logging into their portal bc of the “merged IDs.” i just called the admissions office and they said it would have no impact on the communication we receive from the school. and in the case you get an II while you can’t access your portal, you should call the admissions office and they’ll help you schedule your interview over the phone!

I assume so. The portal says they have interviews from September- November and December- February, and someone here said there were still November dates to pick from.

When I signed up this morning, there was one date for the coming week in October and the rest split across most weeks of November. Looks like a decent number of interviews remaining!

For anyone sending update letters - are you having difficulties uploading your .pdf documents?

It seems like my document is uploading correctly, but if I press the "open" button to re-download the file, it fails to download, which makes me doubt that the file was uploaded correctly in the first place. Anyone else have this issue?

I would guess that their system lets you put things in, but not take things back out.
Proofread before uploading and be confident in your action

MSAR says 12/15 and the first reported A last year was 12/14, so I’d guess mid-December

Yeah, they interview in 2 batches and don’t let anybody know until the end of the batch. Imo it seems more fair than rolling admissions, it’s just a looong wait for everyone who interviewed in September🤣
