does anyone know if they are going in order verified to offer secondaries? I was verified 8/11, MCAT score received 8/29. Do I just assume they are not interested lol

Do you mind if I ask what your volunteer hours look like? 🤲 I'm still waiting on a secondary and the theory is right now that they're screening for service hours for secondaries.

I have 500 hours but I also have like 7k clinical hours.

Very great read. It’s interesting I don’t understand how the platform is helping them since it’s no longer MMI format.

I honestly did not like Kira. Shortened one of the interviews significantly due to technical issues and I did not get the time back 🙁

I just had my interview and honestly it was so chill. Both of the interviewers were adamant they were not trying to trip me up. They really wanted to know how you were going to ensure your success in medical school which I thought was interesting. This was my first interview and I was super nervous but was able to relax mid way through!

Glad you got through it and feel good!

I also think that question is super telling of the personality type that is being selected for.

My knee jerk reaction to it is "I can't ensure that..." WIll I work my ass off? Absolutely. But, I am also super settled in the fact that **** happens and all is actually not in my control, and I feel like this is not the person ad coms are attracted to. Though, I do feel medicine needs this kind of thought diversity just as much as it needs diversity of race/ethnicity/sex/SES.

Curious to know how everyone else feels...

That's good to hear, that makes me feel much better!
 
Verified end of July and received primary confirmation in the middle of August, but still no secondary. I feel as though I'm a great mission fit and have around the average stats for this school. Would anyone suggest contacting the school or letting the cycle play out?

Where is your WAMC profile? I think you have to let the cycle play out anyway, so if you haven't gotten a secondary, I guess you can send a note.

i emailed them back too... was supposed to get details about my interview yesterday but I haven't heard anything.
 
Damm CDU be playing with me 😭 I havent gotten a secondary but then they sent me this that has nothing to do with a secondary 😔.
Anyways, are they still sending secondaries lol ?

Still no secondary 🙁 I received the "acknowledge receipt of your verified primary application to our program" email on July 18th but still no secondary. Is anyone on the same boat?

For those of y’all that interviewed, are interviews more conversational or was it more like they were trying to get through a list of questions? Thanks!

For both of mine they had a list of questions and you had until the end of the time limit to answer them and have the option to go back to add anything if you have remaining time. Idk if it’s maybe a bad sign, but my interviewers weren’t really conversational at all.😅 Like I finished 6 mins early in one of my interviews lol
