There were a couple options the week of Jan 8th!So exciting! What are the dates!
In Feb (sadly not before)Hi! Does Duke send out pre-ii Rs? Haven't heard a thing since July :')
Yes they doWould anyone know if Duke takes letter of interest/pre-interview invitation update?
is this the last wave :,(OOS II this afternoon, Complete 10/1, 3 dates available in Jan (1/8, 1/17, 1/25). Hope this helps 🙂

That is what the email when they sent out the secondary saidof Jan? How do you know? I thought in the interview Dr. Lee said Feb?
Oh thank you! That is what the email when they sent out the secondary said
I've thought about sending a letter of interest but what do I say? Here are two more pubs I have in the pipeline or here's a research grant I got that will make you question why I am doing this.Would anyone know if Duke takes letter of interest/pre-interview invitation update?
Maybe both? I also wrote about like what exactly i want to do at duke (i.e. research in cardiothoracic) which would be a nice touchI've thought about sending a letter of interest but what do I say? Doesn't really make sense for me. I already have a lot of pubs and the academic grants won't help me much for this process.Maybe both? I also wrote about like what exactly i want to do at duke (i.e. research in cardiothoracic) which would be a nice touch
My dates are for 1/8, 1/9, and 1/11. Looks like things are less straightforward than we thoughtOOS II this afternoon, Complete 10/1, 3 dates available in Jan (1/8, 1/17, 1/25). Hope this helps 🙂

Dr. Yeeof Jan? How do you know? I thought in the interview Dr. Lee said Feb?
Bro is ran thruOOS II. Complete 7/9
Honestly makes you wonder how much overlap there is. Feels almost like 80% of the interviews are going to the same 2% of applicantsSdn celebs leave no school untouched
Schools are generally aware of this though. It's why practically every school gives out acceptances 2-3x as much as their actual number of seats.Honestly makes you wonder how much overlap there is. Feels almost like 80% of the interviews are going to the same 2% of applicants
Woo looks like they are getting to us late applicant folk soon then 🙌🏼II just now! Complete 11/15
Sdn has a fantastic ability to make you question how good you are.Honestly makes you wonder how much overlap there is. Feels almost like 80% of the interviews are going to the same 2% of applicants
I really think if Jesus resurrected from the dead and cured leprosy in front of an adcom he’d still get Pre-II R’d at a school or two. Every elite superstar you see get accepted has been rejected somewhere too, which is humbling.Sdn has a fantastic ability to make you question how good you are.
Me, just chilling with three interviews, thinking about how I've done all right. If I get one more interview, I'll feel fantastic. Then i read sdn and I see people with 20 ii and 10 acceptances already. 😥😥
What do you mean he called you? Do they invite you to interview through phone calls?omg OOS II! complete 9/14. Dr. Yee called me about the interview and it was the sweetest thing lol
Makes sense! Did you send an update at all?they emailed me that morning, and he called me that afternoon i think to make sure I got the email. Not sure if anyone else also got a call to confirm?

This is how I rizz up pretty girls I see in class.PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEE
Not a Duke student, but I asked someone this question and they mentioned that students tend to take it in the one-month summer break between M1 and M2 year or in the early months of M3.Any current student that attends Duke School of Medicine when do you take step 1 is that after year 1 cause from the curriculum guide on the website it looks like you start clerkships in year 2
They're 10 min like all others and the interviewer is blinded to your app. They have time to ask just one or two traditional style questions (think why us, why medicine, tell me about a weakness etc).I've never done an MMI interview before and I'm kind of confused how it will work. On the Duke website it says 2 of the stations will be "traditional interviews", do you guys know what those will be? Are those going to be full-on 30-40 min traditional interviews, or like a station where we have a brief conversation? Or something else?
Yes, my MMI had 2 teamwork/collaboration stations. Also, they should have more info about their MMI on the Duke Box link they share with you 🙂does the mmi here include teamwork/collaboration stations?
I think it was through the portal, but I could be mistaken. The email had more info about it!Does anybody know where you are supposed to upload your headshot?
