To my fellow Late October interviewees, got a response from admin explaining that they meant to tell us during interview day we would find out in late Jan, and likely accidently told us mid Dec. Date range they gave for the second wave was between Jan 29th-31st.

It seems like the interviewers at this school are part of the admissions committee that votes and advocates for the students during the meeting unlike other schools where interviewers just write up a report and have no say in the admissions. They do not accept pre-II updates, only accept post-II updates

If the info I was told on my interview day and what others reported here still holds true, those who interviewed 12/8 or earlier should hear back by the end of January and those who interviewed after will be in another batch.

I interviewed 12/14 and they told me we would hear by end of Jan.

Just an FYI, don't take what you were told by JHU staff at your interview date as gospel. Those of us who interviewed at the end of October were told we would be in the first round of decisions. This turned out to be incorrect. There are just so many moving pieces and so many players involved that mistakes can be made despite the best of intentions.
