I just saw this on MSAR: “Changes were recently implemented requiring one semester of biochemistry with a lab instead of two semesters of organic chemistry with labs.” Is this true? I didn’t take a Biochem lab, does that mean I am not being considered for this school? why would I be sent a secondary if I didn’t meet the requirements?

Following since I also took no biochem lab
 
any other is high(er) stat applicants that have yet to receive an interview invite? one of my top choices and am losing hope 💔

Me too. Thought that I was an excellent mission fit (much better than the majority of the places I have interviewed), and crickets. I tried sending a pre-II letter of interest/update letter, but I got an email today saying that they weren’t accepting them
 
I've been on post-II ghost since late October. Strange considering they do send post-II WL's and Holds and such.

Congrats! They really sent the A out today (day after Christmas)? Guess someone's working overtime, lol. Does your decision reflect on your portal, or only via email?

I actually got the A last week. I don't see any portal change, but I got the CaneID invite. It is a bit odd that you haven't heard from them. You should reach out to the admissions office, they seem fairly nice.

Does the CaneID invite happen before or after the interview invite?
 
Is there a FB Group or a GroupMe for accepted students? Does anyone know if there will be in-person tours?
 
Anyone who interviewed 27NOV and earlier get an acceptance call today? I’m on the west coast losing hope.
 
I was accepted in late Dec (interviewed late Nov). Should I expect to receive a physical copy of my acceptance in the mail? Haven't received anything from UM in the mail.
 
How long after we submit our interview date preferences should we hear back with the actual date? I submitted mine on Thursday and haven't heard back, but one of the options was for tomorrow

I am in the same predicament and I am not sure what to do. Earlier in this thread someone said it takes about a day to hear back but I submitted the preference form within an hour of receiving the invitation on Wednesday and have not heard back.

Do you think it's safe to assume that it won't be tomorrow? I don't think they would give us less than a one day notice

I received an interview invitation on Thursday and filled out the form within an hour too. I was assigned to tomorrow, and received that assignment with the zoom link and time slot (9am-3:30pm) last night. I definitely think you will be assigned to upcoming day instead! Good luck, we got this! Nervous and excited 🙂

I think you gotta find that old email they sent, try to login, then they'll send you a new link. It's kinda hassle but it works 😅😅
 
Has anyone who’s been accepted (MD, not MSTP) heard anything since their acceptance? I’ve basically heard nothing about second look or anything like that since submitting the accepted candidate reply form

A couple financial aid emails but that is about it. I think the second look is in on their website although I do not remember the specific date

their "tentative" second look date is the same as UF's... For those accepted to both and interested in both, would not attending one of them negatively impact your financial aid/merit offers?

It honestly stinks that two strong florida programs would have second look on the same day. However, maybe it's purposeful to see which students are especially interested.

Seconding this - I tried sending one a few weeks ago and they said they aren't actually accepting updates this cycle despite what their FAQ page says.

ACCEPTED TO THE MD AND MD/MPH PROGRAM APPROXIMATELY 3 HOURS AGO!!!!! 😭

Literally was having a dream where a semi-bald guy I’d never met was telling me UM (MY #1 CHOICE Y’ALL) had accepted me, and that they were going to give me the official acceptance call on Monday!!!!
Woke up instantly and checked my emails to find out. This has got to be the best day of my LIFE!!!!! DREAMS REALLY DO COME TRUE WHEN YOU WORK YOUR HARDEST AND STAY PATIENT. I LOVE Y’ALL AND BEST OF LUCK:headphone:

For those wondering, I submitted my app 7/3, ii invite 11/14, ii date 11/17. OOS, LM 71
