I interviewed last week and had a pretty positive experience. My interviewers were extremely nice and both interviews felt pretty conversational. Definitely nothing to be nervous about.

I believe they interview into January. They only open some slots at a time.

I agree because others who got an interview at the same time as I did had slots in late October; I did not have an interview section in my AMP account until an hour later where I was then able to see only the dates in November up to the 17th (an apparently others have slots available later) so my guess is that they open slots on a as needed basis

Can any current students comment on their experience at the school? I’ve heard great things from the students in the interview stuff but I also have heard much elsewhere about Penn being kinda gunnery…

Does anyone know if the break the ice session is really optional or is it "optional"? There's a slight chance I might not be able to make it and I'm worried they track attendance

There were a lot more people at my interview day than there were at the break the ice session. It seemed like a decent portion of people could not make it, so I wouldn't worry too much if you need to skip it. It seemed like it was just for our benefit and unrelated to the admissions decision. I think they might have even said something to that effect, but I might be mixing it up with another session so can't be 100% sure.

I recall the students saying it wasn't whatsoever a factor in admissions yesterday too
