First and foremost, we would like to sincerely thank you for your interest in and application for admission to the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Although we regrettably are unable to offer you a position in our 2024 entering class, we wish you every success in pursuing your goals and are grateful for your continued and future service to society.

It was truly our privilege to learn more about you and to review your file in the context of an applicant pool that is remarkably outstanding in quality. With this impressive pool come difficult decisions and the rather bittersweet reminder that there are far more well-qualified students than we are able to interview.

Amid the tumult of recent years, driven by a game-changing global pandemic for which the medical profession has served at the forefront, your commitment to a career in healthcare and science is a source of great inspiration to all of us.

What do you plan to do then from April to school? I’m considering when to quit my job as well.
volunteer with an animal shelter (because i've always spent my volunteer time with people and really want more cats in my life), plan out an apartment (thrift everything!), read some fantasy books, travel, see friends, sleep a lot, spend a lot of time in the sun, exercise and train for myself. It's only 2-3 months and you deserve a break
