IS Pre-II R. Unsurprised, as I don't have a strong research background nor interest and applied mostly bc of the IS part. LM 72, complete 8/2.

OOS Pre-II R, complete 7/31. LM 64 non-traditional but strong research background. Good luck to everyone still in it!!!

OOS Pre-II R. Complete 8/6. LM 81.7. Significant basic science/computational research but no publication.

+1 Pre-II OOS R LM70 with lots of research and clinical, completed 8/6

Pre-II R this morning, submitted 8/22. Honestly wasn’t a great fit and I submitted late, so this was expected. Best of luck to all still in the running!

Pre-II R on 10/2, Complete 8/1. Reach school, expected. Happy they sent out the R early instead of leading me on

"Happy they sent out the R early " !!!
It's true. They're doing us a favor by rejecting applicants early instead of radio silence like other T20 schools until the end of their cycle.

Does anyone know when the PCAT application is due? My wifi was in and out for the whole info session 🫤

My impression was that it was in your best interest to get it in ASAP, but I'm not sure if they mentioned a deadline. They did say the interview days would be in February.

for those of you that have interveiwed already, in the team building exercises at the end, are they essentially asking MMI questions?

Yep, super similar to Casper format actually. They presented a scenario and sent it to the group to discuss, then with follow-up questions progressively escalated it. Everyone in my group was able to speak equally.

Just an FYI to anyone still yet to interview- I know the jury is generally split on sending thank you notes post-interview, but for Pitt at least it appears that those notes are integrated as a part of your file. I sent mine after my interview and when I check under my 'additional documents' on the portal they are catalogued there even though I sent them via email and not the portal. So probably doesn't hurt to send them, presumably they'll be seen by the admissions committee and gratitude is always a good look.

Thanks for sharing this! Where is the "additional documents" tab? Also, is there a way for us to upload the thank you notes if our interviewers didn't do so?

Additional documents shows up under the 'Application Status' tab. And unfortunately I doubt it, I'm sure that has to come from the interviewers themselves to the committee. Not all of my thank you's show up but a couple do. I'm sure they're aware that not everyone forwards the thank yous and that if you wrote one you probably wrote the others.

For those who already interviewed did you get the interview the day of in your email? I interview tomorrow and I’m so nervous about the questions even though I’ve legit practice. Any advice?

Can't remember about the link. For practice I just looked at the questions on SDN tbh. Generally good to have why medicine, why the school, and the like.

For anyone who is interviewing today or has interviewed, when does the virtual waiting room open up? I keep clicking on the zoom link for it but I didn’t know if they open it up 30 minutes before

Usually very close to the time they listed for you.
Have a great day, you're ready!
