So sorry to hear. I'm seeing several people get these post II R's. Is the interview pretty difficult?
That chart going around from 2021 shows they had like a ~50% post-II A rate. So it appears they're just sending the Rs and WLs before the As

I got rejected after the interview -- it wasn't a difficult interview at all, I just think they make decisions and don't keep you strung along on the waitlist unless you're still in serious consideration. I think my R was more about not being the best "mission-fit" for the school than my interview performance honestly :/ To all people on the waitlist -- good luck!

IS II on 1/16! Complete mid-August with ties to the Central Valley

congrats!!! did u also apply for ACE? Becoming more and more worried with a mid-August complete date and ties to both Northern and Central California 🥲 I applied PRIME and ARC but not sure if they’ve sent these out yet…Had anyone gotten an interview for these?

According to admit.org the Post-II acceptance rate for Davis is about ~44% in 2023. However, this number includes students who are admitted in the summer off the waitlist. Fingers crossed there will be movement later this year.

Does Davis like/accept update letters?
From their website:

Categories of decision are:

  • Acceptance: Starting October 15 through July 15
  • Waitlist: Applicant informed of waitlist status with final decision starting May 1 through July 15
  • Not Accepted
    • Admission decisions will be based upon the information contained in the application materials at the time of review.
    • UPDATE POLICY - The Admissions Committee does not accept updates from applicants including activities additions/updates, additional letters of recommendation, etc. Note: Substantial changes such as citizenship status or recipient of a nationally recognized award may be review and considered by the admissions committee on a case-by-case basis.

Congrats on the 12/1 As!

Anyone else heard back that interviewed 12/8? Wondering if they did 12/1 and 12/8 interviews this week and will get to 12/11 interviews next? Or if I’ll have to wait two more weeks.

Sincerely,
This waiting is roughhhh

No, but I did apply to the REACH program. I’m sure you will get an interview soon!

Does anyone have any good advice or tips for prepping for this interview? This will be my first MMI so I’m a bit nervous and I’m pretty low stat compared to the class average lol

I'm also low stat so it's not looking great for me, but remember that they invited you for a reason! For the MMIs I've done, I've watched a lot of mock MMIs on YouTube and practiced questions with people who I know, and people who I don't know so well to simulate being a bit uncomfortable. MiMentor hosts FREE mock MMIs occasionally and if there's one soon, I would definitely recommend it

Bet! Thank you for the advice, I'm sure you will hear back! Would you recommend any of the videos you watched?
