The only breakouts are the interviews. Everyone else is in the main room doing a Q&A.

hi, current OMS-II. this year they changed the first year curriculum, mostly regarding timing of the courses. the courses themselves are still all the same, but they shifted some from being semesterly to being full-year. As far as I know that is continuing next year for the new class, and I also have heard they are combining anatomy & neuroanatomy (currently 2 courses, but anatomy already covers head & neck so they are putting the two together). Not sure if any other changes are being implemented, or if the eventual opening of the Florida campus will change that.
as of now your first year classes are medical gross anatomy, neuroanatomy, pharmacology, molecular fundamentals of medicine 1 & 2, histology, physiology, foundations of modern healthcare, essentials of patient care, and osteopathic principles/practices. hope this helps!

Is today going to be the day? This weekend was brutal waiting.
 
I enjoyed looking at the “accepted students” photos on social media this weekend. I was like, “please let me join you.”
 
I wonder what’s taking them longer than usual. They did say it would be today at the latest, so there’s still some time till the end of the day. I’m part of the fourteenth group so not expecting anything till next week now tbh lol

Current 1st year, for me location was one of the biggest deciding factors (I'm at the knox campus and its close to home, I want to practice in this region, clinical rotations near here, etc.) and also because attendance wasn't required (I will note that this policy has kinda changed)

4 year completion rate is like 78-79%, 5 year completion rate is mid/upper 80s. Not great but not absolutely horrible
(for reference PCOM's 4 year is upper 80s and 5 year is upper 90s)

You can't opt out unless it's a religious/medical exemption (case by case), but you can usually just have your partner simulate the treatment not actually add the force, etc..

I believe it is going to stay very similar to the current first year curriculum that they put into place last semester, they haven't told us anything in particular. Systems based, 1st year you'll take anatomy, neuro, histo, molecular, physiology, pharm, osteopathic, patient care, healthcare/ethics. 2nd semester is likely the same courses, but we finished all of physiology 1st semester. Anatomy will probably go back, upper extremity, thorax, abdomen, pelvis 1st semester with legs, face, head/neck 2nd semester. Hopefully they split up neuro more evenly because our first REAL exam that we took (2nd actual exam but the 1st exam was less than an hour and 3 days worth of classes) was worth over 80% of our final neuro grade (absolutely insane). 2nd semester anatomy, neuro, histo are all done before march and the rest of the year is mainly molecular. We've brought up our concerns with the curriculum to admin, so hopefully they will be reflected in next years curriculum. Overall, it did change for the better outside of the neuro fiasco
 
The letter said seventy spots last year. I’m still preparing for a reapply year, just in case.
 
After the interview, do they provide you with the interviewer's email/contact info if you want to send thank you notes? Can anyone speak to their experience?

Mine was very chill and very conversational. Expect the standard questions like tell me about yourself, why medicine, why do? A lot of the follow up questions stemmed from my responses. It was a lot more relaxed than I was expecting and so far my best interview experience — they just wanna get to know you!!

Did anyone else get an interview invite today? I got one this morning and the dates are April 4th, April 11th, and April 25th. Does anyone know the chances of an A this late in the application cycle? Thank you so much!

I believe those are the last dates they will be doing interviews for 2025 admissions. Not sure what the chances are, but you should still do it if you are interested in attending the school and see
 
for accepted students, when you submitted your deposit did you get an email for confirmation? I deposited but didn't get anything
 
For the 2/14 group, are we anticipating calls Monday the 10th or a later date? I am trying to be patient and not call them, but I am anxiously awaiting the results!! 🙂

Are they just changing attendance to be required if you are at risk of failing? Or are they making it mandatory for everyone?

If we don't hear by Monday afternoon, I will call first thing Tuesday! This will allow them a week since notifying the 2/7 group, so hopefully, that should be an ample amount of time!

I just wonder if decisions have already been made and they just have to call or if they are still making decisions.
 
Complete 02/24 and got II invite 02/26. Interviewing on 03/21 - does anyone know if they are full already?
 
Lately they have been making calls/decisions the Monday after the third week. So for the group that interviewed on the fourteenth it’s likely that we will hear back Monday.

As of right now, it's only mandatory if you are failing a class (<70%). I believe they intend to keep it that way for the foreseeable future but they do have a habit of changing things without a ton of notice so it's just something to be aware of.
 
I heard something along the lines of they have 324 seats total for this year's class on one of their campuses alone. I had my interview today and I counted 102 applicants on there! Mine was the last interview so I waited about 4hrs for mine... and those 20min go by fast!! Very chill and conversational, only 1 clinical related question and the rest was just chatting about the local area and our families.

Hopefully they got what they're looking for from me!
