That’s what I’m thinking. Probably waiting to send out acceptances until the deadline has passed. They probably have until 11:59pm today and then that’s it. Whatever spots left will be that!
 
well I sent an email and they sent me an automated reply so I’m gonna assume they are trying to figure out everything today? -

accepted people, any new additions to the group me since yesterday?
 
Those on the WL if you have a current A why are you gonna pick Msom over your A.

I have an A at an established school but really like what MSOM offers. Is it that bad that’s it’s pre-accredited? (I’m still on the WL just curious incase I get off and I have to decide)

What from I’ve been told by a doctor I worked with, pre accreditation doesn’t mean anything bad. It shows that the accrediting body believes that they have stuff in place to be successful. They can’t get full accreditation until they graduate a class or two so it doesn’t really affect class of 29/30

I mean if they don’t get accredited we don’t get a degree.. right?
 
haha im back with some more neurotic questions- so we've established that there's a regular WL and a "guaranteed seat next year WL." which WL are they more likely to extend acceptances to?

I guess they're weighing their options and seeing who to accept. but if the waitlist is ranked -as we assume- then shouldn't it be easy to just accept the first X number of people on that list? I'm impatient lol being on the waitlist is triggering my anxious attachment issues

same I don’t understand! also someone said on Reddit that tomorrow there will be big movement at MSOM. How do they know this/ why do they think this?

Honestly, I completely agree. Just make decisions because life choices need to be made lol. I’m anxious too. I have a A to an established school, but don’t want to move across the country. Tomorrow should hopefully be the day since they said towards the end of the week. Friday is the 4th, so they won’t be working, right??

yea I think tomorrow will be the day if something does happen this week. I assume Friday they have off.

There has been like no WL movement so I don’t even know what time to expect something if it were to happen

that was my theory but there's also people that have been waitlisted for months AND others that received the "waitlist pending open seat with a guaranteed spot next year" email. I think -like others have said- the continued interest email was to just sift through their waitlist and remove people that have committed to other schools/aren't interested in attending MSOM.

I wish they'd just tell us how many people are on the list and how many they'll be accepting lol I cant take thissss. If the class group me has ~80 people, and their cap is 97 but all seats have been filled (not everyone signed up for the group me according to someone) then how many seats were really dropped on monday? I feel like those that were waiting on other schools gave up because why give up a guaranteed start this year for another school that might not give you a spot? I'm just not sure there was a massive shift and that 10+ spots magically opened up

I’m not sure. They emailed me asking to meet also to answer some qs I have so maybe only a few at a time?

def not a group email, but I meant like if they met early this morning and accepted X number of applicants, would they send out those emails at the same time or are they going to stagger them over the day?

basically im asking if I didnt hear back when cola heard back does that mean it's a big fat R (yes I overthink a lot lol)

That’s what I was thinking too.. but I’m a neurotic, anxious freak lmao. I wonder if they’ll stagger and let other people know throughout the day in case somebody turns down their acceptance today.

Cola, how much time do they give you to accept??

I literally can’t refresh my email for much longer 😂😂😂 I’ve been refreshing neurotically since like March. Between refreshing my email and refreshing this thread it’s become a habit his isn’t healthy LOL but yeah I hope it’s staggered as well. Hoping good news for everyone here!!!!🤞🏼
 
soooo we thinking that if we don't hear back by EOD it's over? ik im not helping but im cycling between being neurotic and realistic (REALLY trying to plan the next year of my life because jobs are quickly being snapped up by new grads)
