I sent a letter of interest, they capped. I reached out to Latrice for clarification and she told me to send it directly to her and I did. So they do accept them, I would just reach out first fr for clarification, but it is misleading of them to say they don’t on the alternate list form.

Remember that it’s a ranked AL! So it’s not in order of people who interviews first

Apparently I was put on the AL (OOS interviewed 3/24) so that def makes me feel good not at all depressed about the situation. The fire alarm went off at RFU during my interview too

I remember after the interview Latrice said she would take letters of interest and not of intent and that they could be sent directly to her. I wrote and sent mine right after the interview because I really want to go here. My only worry with writing a letter of intent is that it’s been said several times that besides any huge updates, everything else will be discarded. Part of me wants to email and clarify, because if we are allowed to send a letter of interest (and it will actually be reviewed), I would have sent one yesterday. The other part does not want to come off as annoying during a really busy part of the cycle. Thank you for all your posts! Good luck to everyone!

same, i just sent an LOI with updates. I just called admissions and they said an LOI is fine. kinda annoying tho esp when u have decent experience updates.

Yeah, if it makes you feel any better, I withdrew my A but I wasn't removed from the group or anything, I just chose to leave it yesterday. I'm sure there are probably people in there that just haven't left yet. It also took them a day to acknowledge my withdrawal, so they probably haven't gone through it all yet!

Of course, I was just as anxious, so I completelyyy understand! I emailed Latrice first, and she confirmed that I could send one to her and the admissions committee over email. I never received a response to the letter, though! I sent it on 4/22

Same thing happened to me. You can email to confirm everything is okay, but you should be fine.
