Words cannot describe how much I hate this secondary...
Place on II Hold todayI submitted the secondary on 08/01, still no change in my status from the "your file is complete" message (OOS), if that helps people who are still waiting for updates
I honestly did not know that. I know GW places a bunch of people on hold but I thought it was soft R essentially.Y’all please calm down, this isn’t healthy. We all want to get acceptances, but GW hasn’t even sent out IIs yet. They do this every year and every year people freak out. A hold just means that they’ve looked at your application and have scored it for when they do start sending out invites. Same thing happened last year and the year before that.
Not a soft RI honestly did not know that. I know GW places a bunch of people on hold but I thought it was soft R essentially.
They want to know why you would be better for the NOLA campus. I’m not sure if it increases your oddsso for the question about campus preference, if we selected main campus only or main campus preference, we don't have to answer it correct? im also a bit confused on how to evaluate which campus is right for me and if there is a better chance of getting in if i say "preferred" vs. "only" for the campus choices
The second campus is in Baltimore, not NOLA!They want to know why you would be better for the NOLA campus. I’m not sure if it increases your odds
Oops..that’s how you know I picked main campus preferredThe second campus is in Baltimore, not NOLA!
Neutral, common, at many schools it just means they will discuss these holds at a committee meeting and select some of you to interviewCan’t remember what was said earlier in the chat, but do we know based on previous years if the pre-II hold is a good, neutral or not-so-good sign?
Got it, thanks!Neutral, common, at many schools it just means they will discuss these holds at a committee meeting and select some of you to interview
If the status update says its complete then its under review.did you guys receive an email from gw confirming your application is complete and ready for review? i only received a portal status update saying it is complete.
mine says: no final decision has been made and your application has been placed on hold for re-review. I am taking it as a silent rejection.do you guys have holds for re-reviews? Or does it specifically say hold for interview
they interview people off hold.mine says: no final decision has been made and your application has been placed on hold for re-review. I am taking it as a silent rejection.

neither, just will have to wait for status later on - could turn into into R or II+1 OOS hold. Submitted 8/23, saw hold today on portal 9/9. What does this mean? Good sign? Bad? LM 70.6
OOS rejection

yesHave they sent out interviews yet?
I'd recommend taking a look at admit.org so you can have more consistent updates on all the schools you're looking at.Have they sent out interviews yet?
or cycletrackI'd recommend taking a look at admit.org so you can have more consistent updates on all the schools you're looking at.
Which one do you find more representative from your experience? I feel like admit.org has way more high stat applicants than the general applicant body.or cycletrack
It is the same thingis "To date, no final decision has been made and the Admissions Committee has placed your application on hold for re-review at a later date" different from from pre-II hold or are they saying the same thing?
