Did anyone hear anything about the new med school opening up at Hofstra in long island in NYC?

i think they are a year or 2 away from recruiting applicants.
their teaching hospital will be LIJ-north shore.

i doubt the school will be ranked "high" (top 50) anywhere in the near future, since ranking is mostly about research money and hofstra doesn't really emphasis on research.

Yeah, and also they will be giving an MD degree not a DO degree, not that it matters because a physician is a physician.
