Keep in mind at the moment these are just allegations. While I won't dismiss the issue until everything plays out, I think in the end it will turn out to be false. The school already investigated the initial claim and determined that nothing wrong happened.
 
So nobody heard anything today? they said half of us would today half next Thursday

I interviewed in the Friday 11/4 group and I'm fairly certain they told us we'd hear either tomorrow (Friday) or next Friday!
 
Anyone heard anything yet? I'm checking my email every ten seconds; I LOVED this school!

Not yet 🙁 I am hoping at least someone hears something today! Then at least I'll know my news will come next week.
 
Didn't hear anything today... hoping to hear back next Friday!
 
My secondary was received on 10/08 but it looks like my letters of rec still aren't uploaded. Anyone else have this problem?

Yea, I would've loved to have heard back yesterday... I would like to know the decision so I can weigh the pros and cons of the schools I have been accepted to and put down a deposit!! Did anyone hear back yesterday?? If I remember correctly, they said half would've heard this friday and the other half this coming friday... however, I'm not sure if anyone heard back yesterday...

No, you will get more time, its only for ppl that get accepted before like Dec. 1 or something along those lines. I'm sure it is on their website or in the CIB if you want to know for sure
 
Hey guys!

I sent in my secondary application on 10/13 and have been waiting for my letters of recommendation to go through so that I can be considered "complete". It's been a little over a month.

Did anyone else experience this time frame in waiting for your application to become complete / have admissions process letters or rec? Or should I call them and ask about what's going on? Just don't know what to expect so I figured I would post here first.

Just received an email. Said they didn't review my file last week but will this week.

They don't send out that info and they said not to inquire about it unfortunately.
 
ACCEPTED THIS MORNING! It was so funny because I'd just had a dream about being rejected, and then I woke up to an acceptance email. I loved this school!

Thanks! It feels like I've been prepping for this cycle for forever, so it's weird to finally say that I'm going to medical school, haha. I'm actually going to Marian! I'm from Indianapolis, and honestly, it was the perfect compromise between all of the schools--the rotation sites are amazing and don't usually require students to leave Indy (a big thing for me when choosing schools), I'd be near my family, and some of the research opportunities with Lilly are incredible. I'm very excited!

That's awesome! Marian is less than 3 hours from my family so I was super bummed about the alternate list. It really is such a great school. Congrats again and good luck to you!

How long does it take for the school to download your letters of recommendation? It's been almost 3 weeks since I sent in my secondary.

Mine were just downloaded today and my secondary was received on 10/08, so give it another week or two.

I may be in that situation soon, (pending post-II marian decision), its going to be a tough call but I think I'm going to go with KCU just because of their high board averages, established rotations, 100 year history.

Marian has only been around for 4 years, not nearly as established

Both schools have nice faculties

Comparable cost of attendance

Both KC and Indy are awesome cities

So for me it comes down to the schools rep and board scores, and KCU wins hands down
 
Rejected pre-secondary just now 🙁

I just submitted AACOMAS a few days ago though, so I'm pretty late. Good luck to you guys!
 
Alternate list just now, surprised, really thought the interview went well
 
Curious, I have pretty much dismissed this school all together after the schools stance and how it handled the allegations of sexual assault by a professor on a student. Am I the only one that feels this way?
 
Hi! To those of you who received an II, how long after you submitted a complete secondary did it actual show up as being "complete" on the website? It's been 2 weeks since I completed my secondary but it's still showing that my letters of rec haven't been received. I emailed but got no response.

I'm in the same boat. It's been 2 weeks since I sent my secondary in.

I'm in the same boat as well. I submitted my secondary about 2 and half weeks ago.

So this person made an account, had their very first post as this link and then hasn't been seen online since. I find that interesting.

I currently have Dr. Gebhardt as my group instructor for OMM. I have never once felt or saw that he crossed the line with me or with any other students. Also, I have not heard of any rumor among my classmates of any issues with any of the professors. Until he is proven guilty of these acts, I will continue to trust Dr. Gebhardt as a student because he earned my trust through his professionalism over the last year and half.

Hey Guys,

II received on 11/28, secondary submitted on 10/14. LizzyM 68, Canadian.

I'm also looking for advice on where to stay, any suggestions??
