General Note: You cannot apply to both the MD program and the MD/PhD program. If you are rejected from the MD/PhD program, you are NOT considered for the MD program. Having said that, you still have to complete the MD portion of the application, which is thankfully very little.
PhD-Specific Questions:
1. Please designate up to three (3) areas of interest, organized as priorities #1 to #3. You must select at least one (1) area of interest. These choices are not binding but an expression of interest.
2. List any research-related contact you may have had at Boston University. This may be working in a lab, or having contacted a faculty member about research opportunities.
3. Please provide a statement detailing your interest in the MD-PhD program and how you envision it supporting your long term goals. In this statement, please describe your qualifications and the objectives of your educational program, report on your prior research activities, teaching experience, publications, research presentations, independent studies, and membership in academic, professional, or honorary societies. It is important that you detail your own role in the research activities you list. If this is covered in your AMCAS Personal Statement, type "See AMCAS Personal Statement". (4000 characters)
