Doing an ISO on Barks about Stagg specifically is interesting. She yeeted him on D0 as a joke vote, then throws him into POE lists as the game progresses (once after the mighty yeet, again a couple days later) without any real direct interaction or reasoning why he's there. Later on she says that Lawpy v Stagg made her feel better about Lawp.

Feels like easy posts for a wolf to make to try to gain credit later without interacting with their partner, especially after how D1 went down. Always throwing Stagg's name in a large list... What did JJJ call it? Salad?

Orange - This last post is a whole cobb salad of names and perspectives that I find pretty difficult to parse. I think some amount of suspicion is being leveled upon all of Stagg, bluestoat, Dubz, PSV, Santy, and Nate simultaneously. Most of these people have already flipped non-mafia, so we can consider the Stagg, PSV, Dubz group as a sort of laborious rule of three (or rule of six) situation. I grant that's a bit of a reach.

Also, this is a pretty classic example of a "player salad", and I am annoyed to not have noticed prior. It's an old tell that has come and gone on The Syndicate, but perhaps it's still alive here until exactly right now when I explain its existence.

I'm okay with voting out X, Y, Z, or maaaaaybe W is the prototypical form of the tell. It isn't uncommon for mafia to include teammates in these things, so that's something I will consider for PSV, miranda, and Lawpy.

Sorry, ridiculous weekend call days plus not seeing my kid shifted my priorities. I've got clinic this afternoon though and a bunch to still catch up on, so I'll be around later. I'm caught up, but need to go back and iso some people.

I've got mixed feelings on Barks and not sure how I feel about that N1 protection claim unless there's details I'm missing. Nate is....idk. He posted the VCA sheet and I know he's contributed some, but for some reason I'm not recalling any of his actual arguments and they're not standing out as meaningful. Could be I'm just exhausted and not registering them, so going to go back and reread. Same thing with Clem, idk where he stands at all which is a bit concerning given last game.

There was also something in a write-up that I want to look into more, but don't want to say too much yet, because I think someone may be able to be at least somewhat mechanically cleared.

I'm honestly kind of lost right now and was hoping village bloc would be able to carry more, but I'll try and give some decent reads after clinic.

I'll lump the answers to these questions together because they are directly related. She suddenly declared me her very strongest village read when she'd been lightly sussing me previously. I thought she had blocked me, noticed I couldn't possibly have done the NK, and therefore was village reading me based on that. I thought that was a villagey move because a wolf wouldn't have made hints like that when they're the last one left and that could theoretically clear a villager.
Of course she didn't act on me lol but that was my thought process

Flavor difference itself is pretty minimal but the function difference is like, when barks blocked me I couldn't plant my crops or anything. But this time I was able to plant/harvest, just couldn't get out.

This could be a wolf!barky modifying her items to be in line with the anti-farming wolf objective that mighty initially slipped out but confirmed by vissy and staggs destructive abilities

Okay, here is that farming theory that a few of you appeared interested in:

In a normal game of werewolf, the objective is to be the last ones standing. There are abilities that assist with the core gameplay, but it all revolves around "eliminate the other team"

With stardew, we now have an independent game mechanic system that has no obvious relationship with that core gameplay. I can create a strawberry empire, only to wind up dead the next morning. Maximization of gold or building a grand farm has little impact on how the "real" game will progress. If anything, these annoying wolves are making it difficult to play this cool farming simulator that the mods created.

The exception is the unique items. By having gold, I can convert it into other abilities. Letters would build alliances, and the tools could great unique abilities.

If I started with 1000g, I could invested that money on a farm that would start yielding profits that I could benefit from in 2-3 nights. However, by then we would have lost about 1/3 of our community to yeets and NK, and the actual benefit to my team for having 5000g in my pocket or a bunch of cows is negligible.

On the other hand, if I buy a power item like a sword or scythe, I will have no capital left to actually farm, but I'll have a tool that may immediately help my team. I assume I'll fair better if I encounter a wolf at night while holding a sword than without one. If my assumptions are valid, it is objectively better for me to abandon most of the unique game mechanics (farm, livestock) in order to pursue the possibility that the item will assist the village.

This is my long way of saying that buying items is correct and farming is suboptimal, if not sus. Anyone find faults with this analysis?

I don't know if it means SAR is the wolf or we're supposed to think that.

The only truly solid village read I have that I think is non-negotiable for me is PSV. Im open to looking anywhere else.

That said, after yesterday I do truly believe that Miranda is village. It's nothing other than tone and how she responded to things yesterday but I do feel quite strongly about it.

Was it you that posted the colour coded tallies yesterday? I think I want to look at them again given Stagg's flip

I guess one person I'm coming back to is barks 🫠 But I also don't really think she's a wolf
But I'm very confident SAR isn't a wolf.

This progression is at least consistent with PSV's account. @SARdoghandler have you expanded on your confidence about PSV? Forgive me if so and just point the way please.

No other real smoking guns in the Stagg iso on Barks. I agree with JJJ's assessment that Stagg is careful to mention both Barks and PSV but is careful to almost always phrase it basically along the lines of "PSV is in the POE. But Barks is neutral so not ruling it out". Which does feel like it reflects worse on Barks than it does on PSV at this point imo
