Applying sucks, but I'm through it and I consider myself blessed by a choice. So far, I've been accepted to SUNY Stony Brook and Albert Einstein. I'm a rogue and peasant slave, so I can't even begin to decide where I'd rather go. Both are, as far as I'm aware, great schools. On the one hand Stony Brook is far less costly (but you pretty much have to buy a car to go there). On the other hand, Albert Einstein is ranked higher by both US News and NIH (whatever that means), and is in the Bronx...NYC is my lover. As of yet, I am not a research fanatic, so the merits of the research departments at each school, although not inconsequent, do not tip the balances in either school's favor.
As everyone knows, everything on the internet is true, so I leave it up to SDN to decide my fate.
Anyone have any input? Where would you go and why?
