DoctorYanks and funkydrmonkey, I sure hope that the info you guys got is more accurate that what I was told. It certainly seems like they're due for a decision meeting, seeing as how last year they sent acceptance batches out every month like clockwork.
 
does anyone know if mount sinai accepts letters of interest?

Yes they do. At the interview, the assistant dean of admissions told us that if you know for sure you want to go to Sinai, and this is the school you want to spend the next 4 years, then tell them by sending them an email.

what if you're pretty sure... because what you said sounds like a letter of intent, not interest.
 
has anyone heard back from sinai this week about acceptances? I interviewed on 11/18 and they said we should hear back before christimas...on pins and needles!!!

Congrats! I was worried that we'd all be miserable today, considering the streak of waitlists to start the day

congratulations! i got waitlisted today...did you do send them an update or LOI between the WL and acceptance?
 
Interviewed 12/4, accepted today! Pretty fast turnaround.

Nope, I had no contact with them between the WL notification and now. I wasn't expecting for them to even consider any waitlisted students until May/onwards, so I was pleasantly surprised.

MSSM made my day today...
After a crappy night spent working on a paper I got a call from MSSM.

Complete: sometime early Dec
I: Dec 20

I'm still hoping for an invite.... does anyone know when they interview up to? What are the latest interview dates have people been getting?

Fuzzy don't give up yet. I just got an interview for early Jan...I'm sure they are still dishing out interviews.

Still haven't heard anything

Anyone else in the same situation?
 
Anyone experience this? I received a call the other morning to come for an interview with relatively short notice (about a week). I was under the impression sinai emailed interview invites...is this worth speculating about?

i think they always email when there is plenty of time to schedule but when someone cancels with short notice, they call. congrats and good luck. :luck: i hope i get an email soon :laugh:
 
Does anybody know if Sinai accepts AP Credit? (I know I could just call them, but I don't want to wait until Monday) Thanks!

does anyone know how/where to send LOInterests to MSSM? I emailed them to see what the preferred method of communication was but haven't heard back. I 😍 MSSM but haven't heard anything since being complete in October.... 🙁

Haha that's a complicated question. I'm originally from Europe/South America, have been living in the US for about 9 years, first New York, then Boston, now Northern California.

ive lived in the suburbs of detroit all of my life and went to michigan state for undergrad. are you set on sinai?
 
Er...I'm waiting to hear about financial aid. I have a full ride somewhere else so they'd have to give me a pretty good deal for me to pass that up 😳

The woman running the interview day said to shoot her an email, and not to overdo its length. She specifically mentioned that this was something to do if you got waitlisted, but I don't think they would be the type to get upset about extra displays of interest.
