I've called twice before and they told me the exact same thing. I think at this point it's basically a hold. I've heard they tell people if they've been rejected, so I guess we're in the "maybe" pile.

At least one person has posted in the rejection thread on a post-interview rejection. They seem to be uncommon, though; I think most people who aren't accepted are alternate-listed.
 
I sent them an in the area/reiterating interest email and this is what I got back.

I can vouch for that. Apparently others have called and been told that the committee finished reviewing their app pre-interview.

I sent my LOI two days ago, didn't get any sort of acknowledgement.. How long did it take you to get a response?

Sent the email last Friday (16th). Got the response yesterday (21st).

Thanks! I guess I can wait until Monday then to check back with them if I don't hear back.
 
i sent mine 2 weeks ago, no response, called and got receipt confirmation.
 
does mount sinai have a "high priority" waitlist? has anyone been placed on waitlist and been told of their position or if they are high priority?

I don't think so. I was just told that I was an "alternate". If they are going to tell you your priority it probably won't be until April.
 
is there still hope to get an interview at Mount Sinai this late in the game?
Does anyone know how many interview days are still open?
 
any idea when the next wave of Mt. Sinai acceptances might be coming out? Or when the admissions committee might be meeting? I interviewed at the very beginning of this month and still haven't gotten a decision from them.

when did you interview?

I think they said their committee would meet every Wednesday through January and a few people got acceptances last Wednesday and the one before. I don't quite remember, but I think they said that those who didn't hear before February would have to wait until March to get good news.:xf:Hopefully we will see some more acceptances tomorrow.
 
Is there any way to check your status online? Still don't have any information about this pre-interview.
 
Hey guys, sorry to bump the thread, but does anyone know when the finaid stuff is due?

Also, I'm making up a Sinai class of 2013 thread among the class threads...for all the accepted students who are considering Sinai 😀
 
if i havent heard from sinai (no interview), is it safe to assume i'm going to be rejected?

i've been complete since september and when I called them last week they told me I was still under review. So I assumed a pre-interview hold, but unfortunately now I think that it's a rejection. I don't know when Mount Sinai is giving out their last invites, but it seems that for many schools this past week has been the last

hi all, new here. i spoke to the admissions office this morning and was told that the last interviews would be conducted in the second week of march and that they are most definitely still inviting people for interviews. don't give up hope yet!

hey guys, just wanted to let you know i got an interview today. ive been complete since mid sept and thought i would never hear from them. for those that are still waiting dont give up hope! i scheduled mine for mid february but she seemed really nice on the phone and told me i could reschedule if i needed to, so im sure there are more dates available.

I was complete on AUG !!!!! ANd have not heard anything GOOD, so unfair I know people with less then steller score get in, yet they are so tough now, I am already very disappointed one more month to hear back and then no more hoping

Did any of you hear anything from Einstein? It would be nice to hear from MSSM
 
Are they only calling for invites right now? I got a call a while back for an interview a little over a week from the call. Not sure what this means that I got a call instead of standard invite though. Absolutely love this school.

hey Everyone, I called 2 hours ago and they said they will be sending out interview invites for the next two weeks. After that, it's a no go. I'm going to keep crossing my fingers.

Have they rejected anyone yet?

To those of you that have already interviewed, did any send thank you's/letters of interest directly to the admissions office or admissions dean? I interviewed a couple weeks ago, loved it, and was wondering who I should send this too.

accepted. looks like I'll finally be able to meet the legendary LET and the poster above me. Is there a second look for mount sinai?

BTW, I interviewed early jan.
