Just got it too... so they are different questions than last year. Anyone know how rigorously they screen? Seems like everyone got it!

Not very tough for IS... I got one and my GPA is significantly below their average and my MCAT is below average.

Thanks : ) Just not used to it being so open-ended. So people could potentially send in 5 letters all from extracurriculars and no professors? What are you all doing - 2 from science profs for sure? I am not sure about one of my sciences.

Also, does anyone know... should our description of each of the three main experiences be a summary of what was in the primary? Or is the primary viewed while the secondary is viewed, meaning we can include other relevant details?

I don't know about you guys but I"m getting sick and tired of inputing the same information in different ways. Didn't we already discuss our activities or "experiences" in our AMCAS app? Sorry...35 secondary apps deep and I'm going nuts here. And what is with the tiny character limit...you can barely say anything in 500 characters...its a joke!

I don't know exactly what you mean by "hitting enter". I wrote the description of the experience in Word and then just cut & pasted. Worked for me.

For my UCSD app (they asked the same thing) I just put the date I expected to be done with things, for example, I expect to work in the lab I am in until I graduate (and have every confidence that nthey will keep me). I volunteer at an exhibit that will close in September, so I put September. But putting the date of submission was the other choice I was battling with.

hey foodfood, update your internet explorer. I had the same problem, and I got the new version of IE, which fixed the problem (you can see those sections to input that stuff)

yeah im pretty crabby about it too. i'm writing 1 sentence about what i did, and 1 about why it was important. (well, thats what im going to try to do, i've given up at the moment out of annoyance)

The submit button did not come up until all the essays were filled out and the 3 experiences too. It is one of the bars on the top of the application along with the essay bar, experience bar, etc. Good luck!

ahh thanks! I had left the "is there anything else that you would like the adcomm to know" essay blank. I guess I'm not allowed to do that!
