Since it seems like CCLCM is kind of doing its own thing for the next few weeks, after you hear from one program, you should call the other one. So, if you hear from CCLCM first you should call the UP, and if you hear from them first, call our admissions office.

dear friendly students of case/cclcm,

we are anal. we always need to know when a future interviewee was marked complete. i think you guys should just tell us that files are not reviewed in the strictest of chronological order, so it makes others and I feel better (about our chances). thanks. we look up to you.

Haha atleast you have 2 interviews lined up, think about those of us who have heard nothing from any school despite being complete for a while. 🙁
 
i was completed early (7/20) and haven't heard any news. I doubt they are going about giving interviews in any systematic way because there have been rejections and interviews given to people completed after me.

just rejected. complete early 7/20s. thats 3 rejections now, and each is slowly turning me off towards med school 🙁

My first interview invite! I'm ecstatic! Complete 8/3 Invite 8/11. I signed up for October 16th, I hope to see some SDN kids there.

Keep your faith guys, if a butcher can get an interview you can too!

Man, everyone who has an invite so far has pretty dang high stats. Not making me feel too optimistic.

Don't worry dude. I got an interview invite today.
3.63 GPA, 3.67 sGPA, 33 MCAT. Now those aren't terribly high, I daresay.
 
Woohoo! Finally, I got my AMCAS verified and got the Case Secondary!

Congrats! You were a butcher? Wow, that's a new one! I am trying to imagine what kind of interview questions you will get. :laugh:
 
SWEET. I actually got an interview to the UP. I can't believe I got one. This is one of my top schools.

After we schedule an interview, does it take a day or two for Case to confirm your date?

I think last year it was within a day or two, but this year, a lot of the process is automated.👍

Tell me when you get here. I need to interrogate you as to how you found that video.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I don't know how I'll feel if I actually get into Case 🙂 I'm still surprised I got an invite. Granted it has only been 10 minutes.

Oh, by the time I got news back from Case post-interview, I'd been on a lifetime total of 7 or 8 waitlists. I expected them to waitlist me, so when they accepted me, I was really confused for about 30 seconds or so.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Hahaha. Well, hopefully I get in this year. I got waitlisted last year, but no luck. The two schools usually took most of their class from the waitlist, but last year they both took less than 8 people. So if I got accepted to Case, that would make the wait feel like nothing.


SDN members should have a secret handshake for interviews.


....maybe I'll try the eye and finger rolling....

I think you'll find that most people claim to have read it every once in a while and never post. Uh huh. Sure.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Actually, we don't either. Plus there's not even any tuition, so it wouldn't make much sense to require a deposit. Ok, I'm busted. This is what I get for going overboard to emphasize my point. 😳 :laugh:

Yeah, that would be a pretty awful letter to get. I never really believed I could have a heart attack at my age, but maybe that letter would push me over the edge. I came close to having a panic attack when I got the bill from my first semester of med school (pre-financial aid). 😱

Anyway, SN2ed, congrats on your invite, and have a good time meeting all your new friends from SDN. 😀

To address something Neuronix brought up last night, I have no idea about CCLCM, but there is no longitudinal experience with chronic condition patients in the university program.

Instead, we've seen (so far) on two instances groups of patients suffering from different chronic conditions. They do bring in a different group of patients for us to talk to in panel form once a week in block one, though.
 
I've been invited for an interview with Case on 9/14! However, I am having trouble looking for student hosts. I know that many 1st and 2nd year students are preparing for exams during this period. Should I just get a hotel, I would really like to get to know the students?? Any advise would be appreciated.

Yeah, we have our first exams this week, then our next exam week isn't until the last week of October. And I'm 99% sure the second years don't have exams until November.
