In order to apply to the college track, should we have selected "Cleveland Clinic" on our primary apps IN ADDITION to Case Western.

Or are we OK to apply to both if we just selected Case on the AMCAS primary.

If I'm not imagining things, there is no "Cleveland Clinic" on AMCAS. It's only Case Western.
 
st0w, were you in the Stevens track at NYU or Bk-Poly track? (that was after our time I think)

None of the above. 🙂 Computer science is actually under Courant Institute, the math school. (I finished my full-time coursework there in 2003)
 
oh okay. I thought you were engineering. yea courant was nice, i was math/chem dual. they paid a lot of money for the graders to do nothing (i think 750-1500 a semester/course)
 
Is there a separate thread somewhere for the Cleveland Clinic Track?
 
on a scale of 1-10...how scared should i be if someone who was complete 7/31 got an interview and i was complete 7/24? does this mean my file has already been looked at and cast aside?

i only ask because, well, the nba schedule just came out and my team is playing their opening game against the cavs in october. i would really REALLY like a reason to be in cleveland.

Nope this thread is for both. If you applied to CCLCM then your app to UP has not been reviewed yet, so we have some more waiting to do. If I remember correctly CCLCMer said that the review of people who applied to both UP and CCLCM won't begin until the end of this month or something along those lines. Also, if granted both interviews they will be scheduled consecutively. Hope this info helped!

See above post. Also Myuu pointed it out that they might not be following submission order. Who knows? Too early to lose hope.:xf:
 
Does anyone know if case likes it when people show up and for lack of a better term "suck up" to admissions. Like show your face around and get to know the admissions personnel?

does anyone know if we could submit a LOR after we are complete? or if they even want another one?

Right, you select Case on the AMCAS and any or all of the three tracks on the secondary.

Not so far. We've all been hanging out here. Feel free to ask questions or discuss both programs in this thread.

Not exactly. If you applied to both programs, your app to the UP may have already been reviewed, and the holdup is waiting for CCLCM to review it. Both programs review your app before either one offers you an invite. CCLCM will not start inviting people until about a month from now. So even if the UP has reviewed you and plans to invite you, they will wait until CCLCM makes an interview decision also. If both programs invite you, they will coordinate the invites back to back.

Yes, you can submit others after being complete. I think the total permitted is six, but double check on the website.

Some schools like it if you come in and introduce yourself and get to know the dean of admissions. Is this true about Case and the CCLCM program or would it be seen as an annoyance?

Thanks for clarifying, this would make more sense! Scary to think that our decision in terms of UP invites might have already been made. Oh I wish I could find out 😛

We don't have student housing, but we do have student hosting. There's a list currently being circulated amongst the new first years. It has not, to my knowledge, been finalized.
 
hm...i should be complete at case as early as 7/20 but i've heard nothing yet.

There should be a link for student hosting under "Additional Documents" in your Case account. Following the link and you'll see the contact info for students willing to host.

I'm a little confused with all these different programs. I applied MSTP, but I also applied to MD only for both the UP and the CCLCM. I just got an interview invite for the CCLCM, but I haven't heard anything about the UP or the MSTP. Does that mean that I will be invited for the UP (or even the MSTP) as well, or are the interview invites done independently for the different programs? Or does that mean that I am only being invited to interview with the CCLCM?

so looks like they have started reviewing cclcm applications...hopefully i get some good news soon, i really want to come to case
 
congrats! case is a good 3rd. what is the deal with these private schools being so on the ball? props to them. why are all my ohio state schools looking so weak in comparison...hmm...

Can you let us know when you were complete? If they are reviewing CCLCM applications now, I am sure some of us are going to be very nervous.

Also, it is totally not cool that the day after you receive your interview invite, Case sends you another email saying your status has been updated. Having received my interview invite within 2 business days (4 days including weekend), I totally was convinced that this status update said that the interview invite had been a mistake.
 
So I'm unable to access the student host list on my status page.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Was that before or after you called to schedule your interview? The status update notification will appear again once your interview date is set in the system.

There are actually some protective measures in place to help ensure invites aren't sent out in error, so fear not! 🙂 If you got one, it was intentional.

Haha, yes I figured the invite was intentional. I confirmed my interview date right after receiving the invitation yesterday, so today's status change was to say that my date has been confirmed. I was just surprised because most other schools don't deem this worthy of a status change email, that's all. 🙂

Actually, the list posted was for the previous year I found out. I brought it to the attention of the ad office and they said they accidentally posted it and subsequently removed it. Hopefully an updated one is posted soooon!
