I am on a similar boat. Complete about 5 weeks ago and no news. Also applied to CCLCM.
Does anyone know how many "waves" of CCLCM interview invitations have gone out, and when the next one will be sent? I'm not sure if it's monthly, bimonthly, etc. process.
Thanks 🙂 Good luck to all still waiting!
The new admissions secretary started yesterday, so that will hopefully help speed things up. I don't think invites go out on a set schedule. Again, that would be giving our admissions office way more credit for organization than they probably deserve.
I believe CCLCM just had their first interview date, so there is plenty of time and hope ahead. 👍
Yup, it was yesterday. No one on this thread fessed up to being here yesterday, but are any of you interviewing Thursday or Friday?
I was sitting on the couch talking to anoher interviewee.... There were girls in there earlier and I suggested that instead of coffee, we have a buffet table with eggplant.... Sadly it wasn't u 🙁.
🤣 Wow, that is absolutely hysterical.
...oh and any suggestions for getting back to the airport tomorrow? Does the RTA swing anywhere near where admissions is?
The university rapid station is right across the street from the Case campus. Easily walkable. Ask someone to give you directions at the end of your interview day. It takes about 45 minutes, and I think the cost now is $2.25. (The RTA just raised their fares a week or two ago.)
Wooooo! Interview invite! Super excited, long-time lurker... many laughs at this crazy, chaotic thread. 😀
Let's see...
Secondary submitted 8/15, complete 8/17, CCLCM invite 9/28.
Really looking forward to this one!
Awesome, congrats!
Just wondering, are any of you guys who already go there worried about the neighborhood? I volunteer at the Free clinic and just figured out today its literally a stones throw away from the nelsons boys home territory.
Case and CCF are like any other urban campuses. Hanging around urban areas late at night by yourself is never a good idea, especially if you don't know your way around. It's really important to use your common sense, and not get lazy or lulled into a false sense of security because you're on a university or hospital campus. During the day, both campuses are very busy with a lot of people around. After rush hour, the crowds thin out. Both campuses have a security escort available to take you to your car if you're there late at night. (CCF even has its own police force, which is the third largest police force in this county.) Again, don't be lazy. These resources won't be helpful if you don't use them. I apologize in advance if this sounds sexist, but especially if you're a girl, and you're at school alone late at night, take the extra five minutes to have someone escort you to your car.
That's even more awesome.
Hey Myuu and CCLMer,
What do you think I should do for the hold on interview. (see message above). Should I keep them updated with what I'm currently doing?
If you have something worth sending, sure. It can't hurt.
Cool. I didn't know there was a subway that went to the school. I'm definitely go to use the RTA when I go. Are there some good places to eat that are within walking distance? How about some good delivery places?
What kind of places do you have in mind? Little Italy is right next to the Case campus and has lots of restaurants with great food. There are also some coffeehouses and fun little places if you go in the opposite direction. If you're at CCF, I recommend either Table 45 (the place with the happy hour that I mentioned earlier) or Cedarland (Lebanese food). Probably the best thing to do is ask your host or the students you meet at your interview day.
