I thought they don't hand out complete emails...only status change to all YES...am i correct???
That seems to have been the case thus far. I got an interview invite without a complete email.

I got an email that said this:
Dear Applicant:
Your application is complete and under review. Interviews are by invitation only and are conducted from mid September until mid April. Applicants invited for interview will receive invitations between September and April.
Thank you for your interest in Jefferson Medical College.

How long did it take for people to receive a YES next to 'Letters of Recommendation Received?' ? I've had everything in there for almost 3 weeks now... this is the only missing 'YES'.

This school has a really weird way of doing things. The status of my letters said "Not received" so I emailed them and then they sent me a complete email (the same someone previously posted) And now it says "No" again in front of the letters...
does anyone know if this college still averages mcat scores?
interesting-I didn't know they used to/do. If so, I definitely won't be surprised if I don't get an interview invite from here as the average of my two attempts is not too impressive!
For those of you who have recently received an interview request, do you mind sharing how long it took.
Received and submitted on 8/11... Interview Invite 9/1.. Interview 11/4
submitted 8/5 complete 8/11
still waiting to hear something...![]()
I think I waited a week to call about mine. A nice guy picked up the phone and switched it to "yes" for me... He also said though that in their system my application was complete 4 days prior to when I called and that I was under review.. they just hadn't switched my status page.
philly med, are you sure? i called earlier this summer and admissions told me they indeed averaged scores
So right now on my secondary status page it says
AMCAS Application Received?
Yes Jefferson Secondary Application Received?
Yes Jefferson Secondary Application Fee Paid?
Yes Letters of Recommendation Received?
Yes
does that mean I am complete?
I submitted about a week ago but I never sent my transcript...I didn't even remember noticing that, that seems like such an odd request do I really have to send in my transcript or am I already complete?
You're complete. You don't need to send a transcript.
So we should not be concerned if we have not received a "complete" email...correct? I think all the confusion is a result of the format of the status page... it looks like there should be something written on the shaded line that says "Application Status".
Not sure if I want to add this school to my application or not... I was reading a bit about it in my Princeton Review 168 best Medical Schools book. They seemed to imply that much of the clinical training is done away from TMC, at various hospitals around NJ/Penn/Delaware/NYC. That would be a huge turn off: I don't want to spend 2 years there and then spend the final two being constantly moving around the tri state area. Does anyone else know anything about how the clinical training works at TMC? Can you just do your training at Thomas Jefferson University hospital? I understand that many medical schools allow you to train at other hospitals, but for me I'd like the schools hospital to be a 'main' option...
Has anyone else noticed when you call Jefferson Admissions, one of the phone options is something like "If you would like to request an interview, press 4" or something similar.
What the heck is that? Haha, I just found it funny. Has anyone tried it?! 😛
Then it goes, "Thank you, BlueElmo. Your interview has been scheduled for 9/27. We hope you enjoy our interview, which begins at 10 AM. It will start with a short introduction by our Dean, then the actual interview, followed by lunch with our staff, a tour of the facilities by our students, a financial aid presentation, then the conclusion. It will end around 3 PM. We do hope you will enjoy your time with us. We hope to see you again. Good-bye."
I hope they come out with "Press 5 for an acceptance" in the near future.
Oh dw.![]()
i'm tired today! especially since i have to deal with non-new yorkers giving transit advice in the AECOM thread![]()
haha its ok. For a second I was like "seriously?!", and then I realized that Blue had to be kidding.
I submitted 8/11 .... now it is 9/15 ...... Letters Received? No.
I'm calling them first thing in the morning. This is ridiculous. I'm hoping they received and just haven't updated the site .....
