It shows up (615 area code). Also, according to some people earlier in this thread, he does leave voicemails
 
Congrats to all those accepted! Quick question. Did the status on your online log in change? And does anyone know if they call all accepted applicants on one day or does it spread out over a few days? I'm just wondering if not getting a call today means it's definitely a rejection/waitlist for me. Gosh, this is killing me.

When you log in online, there's two new links (one for a background check, one to accept the offer of admission) underneath the link to view your experience timeline

#4 here, also interviewed on 11/5 and didn't get a call. I'm hoping w/ all of you that means we were just beyond the cutoff. Lookin forward to next week 🙂

I got a call from an unknown 615 number today. My heart-rate went up.

...but it was just a friend of mine from Nashville who's phone # I hadn't put in my new phone yet. FML.
 
just interviewed on Tuesday, love the hospital and the gear. Here's to hoping i get good news
 
I interviewed Nov. 5th too. Haven't heard anything yet either. Called admissions this week, and was told I should be hearing within a week, and then was asked me to update my address (have a feeling that maybe they already sent me a waitlist/reject letter). Is everyone who interviewed Nov. 5th going to be reviewed at the same time? I'm pretty sure now I did not get in.

11/3 here, no call, so most likely a waitlist since they don't really do rejections, right? I've had absolutely stellar interviews at Pitt, Sinai, NYU, and here, and yet have been waitlisted or deferred at all of them...definitely proves that having a great interview is just one piece of the puzzle 🙁
 
Just got a call from a 615 number, almost crapped myself...checked the voicemail that was left to find that......my student loan company is based out of Nashville as well, and they were calling about a late payment. I HATE THIS.

🙁 that blows.

I just wish Vanderbilt interviewed less people so we'd have more of a chance on the other end of getting in...
 
i interviewed on october 2nd and then got placed on the waitlist. i remember how bad it hurt at the time. however,....i got the call on monday too!

the point of this post is to give hope to all of you out there on the waitlist or that didn't get the phone call. hang in there, you might just get a surprise phone call!

That makes me a feel a lot better, since I have already chalked it up as a rejection. At least I know some hope exists. Congratulations.
 
Waitlisted here, interviewed 11/10 i think, second week of november for sure. Depressing especially after reading how waitlist movement sucks here (except for the one acceptee above, apparently). ughhh, i loved Vanderbilt. letter of interesT?

Edit: Vanderbilt is a horrible place, everyone do not accept your acceptance. You'll be happier anywhere but here 🙂

I also interviewed 11/10, got waitlisted. I was hoping they just hadn't gotten to us yet. 🙁

Anyone know why this is? For those 11/10ers that got waitlisted, did you get a call or email about it? Or did you just check the status page (assuming one exists)?

Weird, I have no idea on what timeline they're making decisions. Thanks for the info though, and sorry to hear you got waitlisted. Hopefully there's a decent amount of waitlist movement.

nope. but apparently it does change if you get accepted. the letter is what lays down the decision.

I'm wondering if they are getting back to WL students earlier than the ones still being debated on? But still; 11/5s should've heard back about being WL too by that train of logic.

Ugh. Trying to figure out a whacky process makes me go whacky.
 
Can anyone tell me what the number of interviews/accepted ratio is?
 
Uh oh. Got the waitlist letter today, dated 1/11. It just must have taken longer to get to me. Good luck to those of you who haven't received one. Hopefully you'll be getting a call soon.
 
I haven't gotten the letter yet either, 11/3 here. I just sort of assumed it since I haven't gotten a call. I don't get how this is working 🙁

I heard in 6.5 weeks. Interviewed Oct 2nd, received waitlist letter Nov 18th.

Ask Jolt - it might be better if you haven't heard by that length of time.
 
haha i know it's not much shorter than 8 weeks, but i heard in a little less than 7 weeks (Aug 24 to Oct 16)

Yea MM; I got the waitlist letter yesterday too. Total suckage, but it's how it goes I guess. I think a couple of other people here interviewed the same day we did - Hopefully one of them got in!

And I thought I did well on the interview too! Booo 🙁

Sorry to hear that. At least we both have other great schools we can attend. Vandy was one of my favorites though.
