ya me too, I got biochem this upcoming semester and a lot of things to do with my fraternity so its gonna be a hectic semester

EDIT: i'll be going for an interview on September 17th

Does status page work for people?

If I click the link, it just doesn't work
 
Mine isn't working right now, but it did last evening. I wonder if this means that they are updating statuses? :xf:
 
every single time i check the status page it just won't work LOL
 
This is kinda sad - I've been checking my status so much the past week that I've memorized both my user id and applicant nbr 😳

For those who have interviews or got selected for the potential interview pool, how long does it take for your status to change once you completed the secondary? Thanks.
 
I give in! From now on, I will always refer to the plural of status as stati. Now where is my interview Wake? Come on!

I received a confirmation e-mail saying that they had all my materials on 8/3 and checked on 8/9 and my status had changed to call and set up an interview

Cool. Thanks. I've yet to receive a confirmation e-mail, so I guess I shouldn't worry until I get that.

I do hope that they're not actually going to take 2-3 weeks to process my secondary and LORs.
 
where do i check my status? ive been looking for a while, thanks in advance

i think it's a network-related issue-- are you at work or on a school network? on my work network I can't even get the page to load, but it works fine at home.
 
I have this message:
"Your AMCAS application has been evaluated and we are sending you our secondary application by e-mail. Please allow 2 weeks for the application to be sent to you as we send them out in batches."

So - those of you who are talking about status messages specifying the interview, I guess you have already submitted the secondary???
 
Yes they have. That's what happens after the secondary is in.

Good news for you guys:

I've had the post-hold status for about a week and just got an email interview invitation. So there is hope.
 
I got rejected today... I didn't even get a secondary.

I have a 28, 3.9, strong EC's, and I'm in state. I thought that would have at least got me a secondary.

I got rejected presecondary today as well...but I'm international, and I have crappy GPA..so it was expected..
 
Finally got the secondary. They must REALLY screen, not just numbers... makes me feel like I am not wasting my money 🙂
 
Just submitted my secondary. Was I supposed to get an email or confirmation or anything? Or does that happen after you send in your check and signed paper?

Does their email take a while to get or something? My status says it has been emailed to me but I see nothing in my inbox.

Haha maybe I'm just getting really impatient with Wake.

I got the secondary on the same day (roughly same time of day) that my status said they emailed it....
 
Does wake forest have preference for in state? i thought it was a private school? does anyone know the percentage breakdown for secondaries, interviews, etc?
 
I got the scary "You better be finishing your master's program before July" e-mail last Thursday, and my program coordinator faxed over my permission today.

Fingers crossed.
 
Do you generally have to wait till after admission cycles to find out why a school rejected you? I am just curious what part of my applicant they frowned down upon, because statistically it doesn't make sense, their average GPA is 30.6, MCAT 3.59, and they interview 5/6 of their in state applicants.

That's ok, I'm not even sure what possessed me to apply here- I added it completely on a whim. It's ok though- best of luck to you all and I will see you in the other school threads!! 🙂

do they really? i'm curious about this stat, where'd you find it?

and if it makes you feel better, i've known plenty of top-notch applicants who get rejected from wake, and go on to many other top tier schools, so don't worry too much, i'm sure you'll get in somewhere!!

(oh, and if it were me, i'd call and see what i could do to "strengthen my application"--even if it's clearly too late to change your app at wake, or anyone else)

MCAT of 3.6? Hell, I'm like 10 times that. Why no invite? I guess my GPA's not close enoguh to a 30 (phew).

But your stats are really good after glancing on your mdprofile

I don't get how they screen? they're avg entering class has a GPA of 3.59 and an Avg mcat of 10.2. Thats one of the lowest I've seen.

Now, i'm worried, i have yet to receive anything.

thanks. it's ok. i feel like my app is weird- really strong in some areas and weak in others. since i didn't go through UG as a premed I wasn't really involved in any extracurriculars or clubs or stuff like that. i worked a lot of dumb jobs. also maybe they are less interested in older applicants? and i've taken, like, practically no math and got a C in physics 2. i have no doctors in my family. i don't know. like i said, i added WFU on sort of a whim, so in a way it's good for a first rejection 🙂 better than being rejected from a school i was really dying to go to and thought i had a good shot at. i'd rather have it pre-secondary and save the money, i appreciate that. and its less competition for those of you who consider it a top choice. good luck to you all! 🙂:luck:
 
Is anyone else still having trouble signing in? I keep getting errors when I submit my UserID and Application Number, both on the "Check Status" page and the secondary app page. It hasn't been 3 weeks since I got my email, but its been long enough that I need to get this in pretty soon. Any clue whats up?
 
i struggled when copy/pasting the info. Try, tediously, typing it out. That solved my problems.

That got me in to check my status, which was somewhat of a relief, but I still can't get to my secondary app. It gives me a database error, so maybe the problem is on their end and will be sorted out tomorrow.

I can only hope...
