Accepted today!! I really wasn't that high on MCW before interviewing, but after visiting I loved it, and I'm really excited to be accepted. Nice facilities, great new curriculum revisions, and I really think you're going to see this school rise fast in the rankings over the next few years because of them.

rpgdude.. when you're in town be sure to check out Mo's Irish Pub for that brew. Awesome bar with live bands 3 or 4 nights a week. Only a few blocks away from MCW off Mayfair and Bluemound I believe. Great place to have a drink.
 
I was accepted also! So happy, my first acceptance!🙂 I was also impressed with their revisions and the interview day was so organized!

Mo's is a great pub. Good drinks and atmosphere. I would also suggest the Chancery on State St. I've seen a lot of M1s bringing their interviewees with them this year. Also, Thursday night is trivia night in their side bar (Del Monte) and there are groups of M1s and M2s that go pretty much weekly.

Last Friday. But to be honest its all a blurr :laugh:
I expected to hear tomorrow, but with this afternoon's news, OMG, 😍

I know for a fact MCW puts a lot of emphasis on a 10+/10+/10+ MCAT score. Therefore, anyone with less than a 10 in each of those sections gets put further back. I'm in the same boat too. 11 PS 10 Bio and 9 Verbal. I can guarantee most of us waiting yet have a score like this. Don't worry though, we'll probably still get interviews only later like January/February.

I have a 14 PS 12 Bio and 10 Verbal. I am in the 8/23 small pool group, and I haven't heard anything as well. It would seem that there are quite a bit of other factors that they are looking at for interview invitations.

What an awesome surprise haha! Congrats again. I interviewed last friday as well, guessing I didn't get in then, as i doubt they wouldn't send all the acceptances at once.

Here's hoping for wait-list!! :xf:

Thats funny I have that exact MCAT break down. 14/12/10 don't tell me you got a P on your essay 😀

After hearing all these positive comments about the school, I am really excited for the interview! I hope they take us through the Children's Hospital on the tour. Did anyone do student hosting and if so how was the experience?

We didn't go through the childrens hospital on my tour, but I did student hosting, and student hosting = AWESOME. Do it. You basically get to have a free stay in Milwaukee, and get to pick a med students brain for an entire night about the school, totally free of charge.

I am just praying state schools come through.

This one was not a shocker for me though cuz my 2 friends from my program at BUSM were rejected already and I know their stats and mine so I knew to expect it.

As it is, the one family tie I have to the state and to the city in which this school is located is about to be gone since my aunt is moving to Florida and her husband will eventually follow suit and move down here too. So no reason to want to go there anyhow for me anymore as one of my reasons for applying was their nearness to the school.

Sorry to hear that guju. I admire your determination and I am sure you will get in somewhere. We have a few extra schools in our state this year, so try to keep your spirits up! :luck:

Sorry to hear about the rejections. Pretty quiet all around this weekend. Anyone coming in on the 12th? Hopefully there will be some better luck for that group.

I was small pooled at MCW on 10/20... How long does it take to come out of this pool of applicant? How farther along in the interview cycle are we?

A bunch of us who were small-pooled in august are still waiting... unfortunately!
 
I emailed the admissions office and I'm in the 8/23 small pool. They told me that they had not had a chance to review my application so there is still hope for a lot of people.
 
Wow, very quiet. Did anyone on SDN interview this past Friday?

Grilled? Can you expand a little? Was it on your app stuff or like ethics/healthcare reform stuff? I'm not interviewing here for a while, but it'd be nice to have some idea of what to expect.

This seems very untrue considering a few weeks ago when the 8/23 small group people got their invites, they told me the Dec 10th date was full. Weeeeird.
 
I got an interview invite today too. I really hope there is an alternative to the December 10th date. That is very strange that they only gave us one day as our only option.

No fakes here people, and lolz that you have to ask, who would take the time to lie? People must have cancelled for 12/10.

There were jokes going around this thread awhile back. I believe you. I guess it makes sense people canceling considering its in the middle of finals (it is for me at least). Did they say how many spots there were on the 10th? I might try to change it to the Dec date.

Not sure how many spots there were, I'm guessing not too many, but it is always worth a try. Call (414) 955-8246 and try to reschedule (I didn't give you that number if its not publicly available), hope it works out for you. If so, I will see you there 🙂

ya, my interviewer asked me a lot of hypothetical questions that I wasn't prepared for loll.
 
OMG ACCEPTED! I hope this wasn't a fluke that they sent out the email a day early...
