Accepted today, thank god, this is the only interview invite I've gotten...

Interviewed 10/8

OOS 32Q, science 3.3, overall 3.5.

I interviewed on 10/15 and was thrilled to hear back today!

cheers, I'm VERY stoked, just didn't know want to post and sound like I'm bragging. Congrats all and best of luck to those of you waiting to hear back. (for people who actually end up at TCMC, lets start a facebook group - kind of nerdy but its something that the current students in our panel at the interview suggested)
 
hey guys for those of you waitlisted, accepted were you guys emailed about the decisions? Or were you emailed that your application has been updated and then you had to log into the status page?

E-mailed with decision. I would advise you to take a deep breath and relax, that is a very minor difference

Wait a second... so nobody has been rejected post-interview? Or are people just too sad to post it? It's worrisome if the waitlist is offered to every person that doesn't get an acceptance because that makes getting OFF the waitlist that much more competitive.

Edit: I'm not wishing rejection on anyone, especially those that have interviewed! I was just wondering if TCMC was taking an unusual route and just deciding who didn't make the cut once they ranked the WL. 🙂

I was about to say "not sure" but I think I saw someone rejected already Daisy. I don't think they're going to WL everyone. No school does that. I'm not sure if there was a lot of WL movement last year. Great school though and I would love to get in!

I just withdrew post-acceptance (OOS). I LOVED TCMC but got into my state school so I'm not taking the spot. Hopefully they'll give it to one of you!! 😍

+1. I was traveling for another interview so I didn't post. I don't think my interviewers appreciated my response when they asked me how I would choose between the school at which I interviewed today and TCMC. I'll leave it to your imagination, but it was pretty dopey. Oh well, congrats to the accepted and good luck to the waitlisted!
 
Anyone interviewing on Nov. 5? I'm very jealous of those already in. Looking forward to interview day though, they're always fun (knock on wood)!
 
I'm scheduled to interview Jan. 28th, but the friendly lady at the admissions office that I called on the phone put me on a wait-list for an earlier interview. Has anyone had luck being moved up said list?
 
My application says "Next Step, Please Submit Your LORs" Did you guys have to submit the LORs or does TCMC do that for you? I submitted my secondary on 10/11 🙁

mine said that as well even though my lor's were on my amcas ...so i emailed tcmc to ask about it. and they said....

"We already have your letters of recommendation. It will be a few days before we mark your application as complete. If you have any questions please let us know."

it took them exactly 1 month (from 9/6 to 10/6) to upload my LOR's from amcas
 
interviewing the 19th...i actually had called them back in the day bc they werent updating my status to complete and they did it immediately for me...so for those of you still waiting for the update to complete, call them! they are very receptive
 
hey, has anyone emailed the director of admissions directly before? i can't seem to find her personal email address anywhere on the TCMC website. Or should i just use the admissions email, though i'd like to email her directly....

Received an invite today, my application has been "sent to screeners" since 9/14. Unfortunately the only times available are in February.
 
really? i got the invite today and got a spot for this month. but i mean i'm also glued to my email so i checked right after the invite.

I'm gonna call their admissions office tomorrow. I got an interview invite a week ago, they were all booked up until January, called the office, and was put on a 'waitlist' for an earlier interview. I guess the waitlist isn't working 🙄

Huge Congratz to all those interviewing BTW!!!

Hey all - I will be canceling my interview for 11/19 today. I hope that one of you gets it!
 
Surprised and disappointed at WL. Just got it. I thought my interview went really really well. They don't rank the waitlist until May 15th 🙁.

Sorry to hear that, Lokhtar. I'm on the WL right there with you... except I didn't think my interview was that stellar :laugh: I know they want to have more PA residents than OOSers in their class, so I figure that a lot of people not from PA will be put on the WL until they reach whatever amount of ISers they want. :luck:!
 
It's alright guys. I was rejected. Really liked the school a lot, the staff, thought my interview went at least alright enough for a WL. But hey this happens, gotta move on.
 
Hey guys. I have an interview here tomorrow and I was wondering if there's anyway to look at my submitted secondary. I stupidly didn't save my answers and would like to look over what I wrote before I go in.

I'll be interviewing on 11/12. Can someone who has interviewed share some advice? Do they ask tough questions?! It is my first interview and I haven't had a chance to practice at all. 🙁

It depends on your interviewer. I had 2 interviewers at once. Mine was pretty laid back but another guy I met that day had a really intense interview. He got grilled really hard for an hour and came out shaken. Poor bastard.

Basically just know why TCMC and why Scranton. They want to see that you are a good fit with their missions and values. They are pretty specific about their goals, just look at their website.

My interviewers were nice, but they asked a lot of questions. Only caught me off guard w/ a few questions. But yeah like tiesto said I was talking to other people and they said the exact same thing where they were grilled hard. Just know your application, why TCMC, etc. the interview wasn't too bad, but I was just rejected lol. But still a good school, nice interview day.
 
Also, I'm sure it's harder for Cali residents to get in b/c they think we'll just leave NE PA. So probably some stigma or difficulties for Cali residents to get accepted especially when they only take 30% OOS.
