Waitlisted. It guess it would have been too easy if they accepted me right away.

Anyone know how many people they waitlist, or when we might move off?

Reading this thread makes me want to vomit. I only have 2 interviews, here and my state school, so I REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYY want to get accepted haha

I was waitlisted as well =/ thanks for the encouragement tlaloc87. trying not to feel down although my heart sank a little today...

i got the official waitlist letter. it makes me feel better that they're accepting a larger number of people from the waitlist this year, but the waiting is killing me!

Waitlisted here too. Man, this blows. Interviewed first week of Oct.
 
Did everyone receive an email from their student interviewer? Thought it was a nice touch for this AMAZING school.
 
First off, Congrats to everyone whose been accepted thus far!. I hope to see you here come next year. Pitt truly is an amazing place, and I haven't regretted going here for a second (even with a genetics final tomorrow).

To those who've been waitlisted, try to keep your chin up. I came off the waitlist, as did most of my classmates. If Pitt truly is the school for you, let them know that. Give it some time, go on your other interviews etc, but if at the end you still feel that Pitt is your number 1 then bombard them with letters, updates, etc. Like most schools, Pitt wants students that are passionate about attending their school. The only caveat I would add is that its better to not send anything then to write something insincere, as its pretty easy to see through.

Just have to keep our fingers crossed, I guess. I'm interviewing on Dec. 1. Almost there! Anyone else interviewing then?
 
still haven't heard back mstp. complete forever and a day ago. Since there are only two mstp interview dates left im starting to get worried. Does anyone know when they give invites for the last two dates or if they have already done so?

Yea they have crazy turnover time. Mine was something similar too. And congrats
 
Anyone know the current latest interview date that an admissions decision has been made for? Are they into October yet?

Yeah same here. I heard back in 4 days. It was amazing and it made me very impressed with how they run things over there. My interview is in one week...cannot wait! 😀

For what it's worth, I am also nontrad and OOS.
 
accepted MSTP. Interviewed September 19-20, waitlisted mid-october, accepted today. Definitely not a 39 MCAT! I'm also OOS for those who want to know.

A classmate who interviewed in the first half of Oct got a response. I think there was at least one other person in the thread that interviewed in early Oct who got a response as well.

I interviewed at the very end of Oct and havent gotten a response as of yesterday. Loved the school, hoping hoping hoping for good news, but trying not to be neurotic about it. (With some modest success, I guess.)

Gah, I interviewed Oct 13 and still haven't heard anything. That "Application is under review. Please allow 8 weeks from interview date to receive final decision." is really unnerving.

Ditto. I'm spending the day throwing myself a Pitt-y party but really I do think a lot of people will come off the waitlist. Are we all waiting til may to come off?

I interviewed November 16th and we were told that we probably won't find out until mid to late January because the adcom goes on recess during that time. I love this school. Top choice, no contest.

Nah I'm not waiting around for them. I liked this school but not enough to hang around waiting for them to make up their minds (unless for some reason they move the waitlist earlier). I'm already sitting on acceptances from other places so its no big deal. I'll likely not stay on this waitlist if theres not going to be any movement till May. Another spot for you guys I guess.
 
Waitlisted on 11/15. It sounds like there's a decent chance of coming off of the waitlist here at Pitt, so I'm not discouraged. Good luck everyone!
 
The wait doesn't seem that long for me because I'm pretty sure the best-case scenario for me is a waitlist, in which case I wouldn't really know anything for awhile longer.

That "eight weeks" might not be accurate. I called the admissions office on friday (on wednesday, it'll be 8 weeks since my 10/13 interview) to ask when I might hear back from them. She looked up my file and told me that they're a little behind and I probably wouldn't be hearing back for another two weeks! Anyway, I hope you get some good news and I hope you get it soon!
