Just working at the lab, saving $, hanging out(remember that?😉), playing soccer. Learned how to do CT scans on mice. Reading a lot for fun, which is nice. Unfortunately, Europe is out. Africa is coming around though, how's 8 weeks in Uganda sound, skip the ultra fun midwest winter? Filled out the paperwork, but still fleshing out the details on what kind of service work I'd be doing.

I've already seen the cool rocks/minerals, so I'll probably pass on that. What I should do is go to Cedar Point instead!:laugh:

Have you checked out the big windmill up the Shoreway? E222nd and St.Clair I think. It's at least as interesting as the rocks!:meanie:
 
From the CaseMed Twitter: "AAMC tells us 2day "October 15th falls on a Saturday this year. Therefore, it is recommended that applicants be notified...Mon, Oct. 17."

I interviewed a few weeks ago, so I guess this means we won't be hearing back till Monday (or rather Sunday night.) Can someone on the inside (cough Myuu cough) confirm this?
 
so how do i know if i'm on hold? There's nothing under university track correspondence, college track correspondence, or MSTP/CTSTP correspondence...(I was complete in mid August)
 
I've been complete since 8/1

I have a rej from the University track but nothing from the college track. I'm going to call today
 
case has sent me 3 emails telling me to check my status page when I know I already got rejected...not cool

Wondering the same. Rejected College Track weeks back, no other word. Complete in July.

Not sure what the UP does, but CCLCM will send you a letter if you are put on hold. Don't ask me when. Ask vc7777. She's the girl with all the answers. 🙂

Yeah, it's been long enough for you that calling is more than fair.

For those that are still waiting, again, you should give the admissions offices six to eight weeks from the date your app was complete before you call, especially if you applied to both programs.

Hehe, I was sitting right across from you at my CCLCM interview. And yes, I recognized who you were 😀

You offered some good insights. Also, being a fire engineer is pretty cool

But nothing shows up when I login.
Do I assume rejection zz.
 
Interview invite yesterday for the University Track! 🙂 FWIW I got an email with the invite itself, not just an email to check my status. I'm really excited for this one, I wasn't really expecting it at all!
 
Tudor Arms by Doubletree gave me half off and it's like a 6 minute walk to the medical school.

Hmmm almost what I did in the past:

pyromania + applied math and physics = fire engineering.
120mm smooth bore cannon ballistics + applied math and physics = firepower engineering

😉

:shrug: I don't know why CCLCMer thinks I'd know this before he would. I mean, he's got the PhD. I'm just a lowly BS. But I can find out today? Probably a long way away before the first round of holds, me thinks.

I think you'd know before me because, unlike me, you are a medical student. At CCLCM. I am an MD. Not at CCLCM. And THAT is the difference between you and me, you plebe. 😛

Interview invite!

But... fuuuuu, now I have too many interviews. It's making me miss too much class, even though I have a light-ish course load. Because almost EVERYONE's got rolling admissions, including Case Western.

When is everyone scheduling their interview for? I'm worried that making it in early December might be too late, and would decrease my chances of getting in.

I scheduled mine for early December because I'm already going to be out East-ish for another interview. December is still only halfway through the interview season, I don't think it'll be that much of a disadvantage.
 
I know ppl have been rejected from Case (my friend). I was complete 8/12. Still no word. She submitted 8/1 and was rejected 1 month ago. Is that good for me? Still a chance?

If you have not been rejected and you have not been placed on hold, then you are still under consideration.

Glidden House is great. Plus, its right next to my favorite coffee house that has amazing wraps, soups, drinks and pastries/desserts! Their vegan chili is completely out of this world.

Though, I have been known to provide a place to stay at my apartment free of charge for those SDNer's I am more familiar with 🙄

So jealous you got to go 😡 I have a huge lab report due tonight, and chose to work on that instead. Really upset, since I heard it was great and I LOVE the Goo Goo Dolls!
 
Will case release decisions tonight electronically or will they wait until Monday?
 
It's so hard to wait... 🙁 it's so hard to do work when I feel so impatient!

How often does Case give interview responses? Weekly, monthly?
 
You know how you post something informative and then a few hours later an applicant posts exactly the same thing...?
 
Nothing has shown on my status page yet. I emailed CCCLM a couple of weeks ago, and they said mine was on hold (decision pending status)......

Generally, the university program has a two-week turnaround, but we seem to have a ton of applications on our hands at the moment.

Oh so the people being reviewed at Monday's adcom meeting will also hear Monday night?
 
Monday night?! I was hoping for another countdown to midnight (Sunday pm/Monday am) filled with clues/hints riddled in youtube videos!

..I may be spending too much time on the 2010-2011 thread, heh. 😳

oh, I was confused. I thought that Monday they could start releasing (starting 12am,) I didn't realize it was after Monday, Oct 17th, hence the Monday night release.
