Just working at the lab, saving $, hanging out(remember that?😉), playing soccer. Learned how to do CT scans on mice. Reading a lot for fun, which is nice. Unfortunately, Europe is out. Africa is coming around though, how's 8 weeks in Uganda sound, skip the ultra fun midwest winter? Filled out the paperwork, but still fleshing out the details on what kind of service work I'd be doing.

I've already seen the cool rocks/minerals, so I'll probably pass on that. What I should do is go to Cedar Point instead!

Have you checked out the big windmill up the Shoreway? E222nd and St.Clair I think. It's at least as interesting as the rocks!

From the CaseMed Twitter: "AAMC tells us 2day "October 15th falls on a Saturday this year. Therefore, it is recommended that applicants be notified...Mon, Oct. 17."

I interviewed a few weeks ago, so I guess this means we won't be hearing back till Monday (or rather Sunday night.) Can someone on the inside (cough Myuu cough) confirm this?

Not sure what the UP does, but CCLCM will send you a letter if you are put on hold. Don't ask me when. Ask vc7777. She's the girl with all the answers. 🙂

Yeah, it's been long enough for you that calling is more than fair.

For those that are still waiting, again, you should give the admissions offices six to eight weeks from the date your app was complete before you call, especially if you applied to both programs.

Hmmm almost what I did in the past:

pyromania + applied math and physics = fire engineering.
120mm smooth bore cannon ballistics + applied math and physics = firepower engineering

I scheduled mine for early December because I'm already going to be out East-ish for another interview. December is still only halfway through the interview season, I don't think it'll be that much of a disadvantage.

If you have not been rejected and you have not been placed on hold, then you are still under consideration.

Glidden House is great. Plus, its right next to my favorite coffee house that has amazing wraps, soups, drinks and pastries/desserts! Their vegan chili is completely out of this world.

Though, I have been known to provide a place to stay at my apartment free of charge for those SDNer's I am more familiar with 🙄

Generally, the university program has a two-week turnaround, but we seem to have a ton of applications on our hands at the moment.

oh, I was confused. I thought that Monday they could start releasing (starting 12am,) I didn't realize it was after Monday, Oct 17th, hence the Monday night release.
