Accepted! Did you guys get the "acceptance of acceptance notification" or whatever its entitled on your status page immediately or does that take a while? Do we need to deposit any money to hold a seat?

I think the e-mail said no deposit was required to hold your spot and I have not seen the second acceptance thing post to my iapply account after hitting accept.

I interviewed after 10/10 but before 10/19, and we were told at our interview that we wouldn't receive a decision until the week of the 24th. I haven't received any update yet - are you sure that decisions were made up until the 10/17 interview date, Myuu? Also, if you get put on hold, are you notified somehow? Or does your status just not change?

If you are on hold you get an e-mail saying that your iapply status has changed then you login to iapply and see what your status is: accepted, hold, rejected.

Nothing for me. I interviewed on the 14th. I guess they haven't gotten to us yet!

It's possible that Monday's meeting did not include your interview dates, in which case, sorry.😳 The timing is usually pretty solid and very fast.

If you get put on hold, you will get a status change.

Hold here too. This school was so awesome and the other applicants were lovely, so I am not entirely surprised. Still a little disappointed, for I am a little bit in love with this place.

But its not over 'til its over. Ill be back in March!

Hi, I am a Canadian applicant and just received the interview invite to both UP and CCLCM last evening (I was complete August 23)! 🙂

I just had a question regarding the date of my interviews. They have currently provided me with December & January dates to schedule. I have my final exams in December and would prefer to schedule my interview in January. Would that be too late/put me at a disadvantage compared to if I schedule in December?

I apologize if this has been asked before, but this thread is just too huge for me to go through it all.

I'm on hold, too. It was actually a nice surprise, as my faculty interviewer called me naive and referred to my personal statement as BS--I was not expecting a non-rejection outcome . My student interviewer, and the students in general there actually, were super awesome though, so I still have much love for Case.

Ha, fortunately no. Someone did say, "So tell me, why didn't you work with more underprivileged people?" I started laughing, it was a very surprising question. The same thing happened when my Case interviewer said, "So why did you decide to do X? Well I mean you wanted to be able to write it on your med school application, but what was the secondary reason?"

I'm sure he was just trying to throw me off or something, but it was pretty hilarious 🙂

I think he was concerned about volume, not degree of underprivilegedness. And no, nothing like that. I just studied to be a sommelier with minors in caviar and sweater vests.

It has been gone through before (by me, as a matter of fact), and the answer is the same: interview whenever is convenient for you. It won't affect your chances. I was a January interviewee and was accepted to both programs.

Thanks! I was so thrilled. I happened to be sitting in the car with my uncle when I got the email notification on my phone. I promptly started flailing with glee. After I told him, he immediately turned the car around, found a Cheesecake Factory and bought me an entire Godiva cheesecake as an impromptu treat 😀 (Although I made the great mistake of looking at the nutrition facts...)

As for dates, most of them are in December and January. I haven't picked a date yet (I want to double check how this is going to figure in with finals and thesis writing), but I'll probably squeeze it in during December.

I'm assuming Case Western is on a traditional rolling model? (as opposed to the "interview everyone and then decide later" non rolling system).

I guess I was able to snag one of the last November dates, which is good since December is crazy with finals and a family wedding for me.

And yup, Case has rolling decisions. They just released their first wave of acceptances/holds/rejections earlier this week. I believe, based on what I've heard from others and seen on this thread, Case notifies you of your status two weeks after your interview. Very efficient 👍

If you look at the instructions, the M3/M4 list is for questions only, not hosting. There is a separate link for the Student Hosting System, sent with your interview invite.
