I don't have a car but I take it that having a car would be necessary for living in Lexington?
IMO, it's 100% necessary.
To everyone that I've asked, "How do you like living in Lexington?" They smile and say they really like it. Then I say, "What about the traffic . . . ?" And then they don't smile, and they sorta pause and say something like, "Well yeah, the traffic is pretty awful. It takes a while to get anywhere at all. But I still like Lexington!" Haha, I've asked a lot of people and they all say the same thing!
I think it's really unlikely that you could find a place where you wouldn't need a car. But on the plus side, cars last much longer here compared to Canada (and therefore you can get older ones for really cheap). It's cause the winters aren't so harsh.
