It's not very walkable, no. The hotel is quite close and nice, however. I rented a car, and the drive was only about 5 minutes.

I stayed at the Hawthorne Inn and it was great. You wouldn't be able to walk to the interview site, but there is a free shuttle that comes every half hour that will take you door to door.

The Hawthorne is great. Make sure to tell them you are interviewing for medical school and they will give you a special discount.
 
Got a II today right after my loi. 3.9/36 OOS.
 
What did you write in your LOI? And how long was it?

I submitted it sometime in September. And my Loi a week or two ago. Was about a half page. Said i was still interested basically. Short and sweet.

Has this been the standard for hearing back from the committee? My action date was supposed to be today.

I interviewed in September and heard back 7-10 days after my proposed date of action. Think it just depends, I wouldn't stress if it's late
 
Waitlisted today. Im so glad its an active waitlist because I loved this school. Its a shame, I really thought I "clicked" in the interview enough to get accepted.

To those that have been waitlisted: Have you sent your interest letters to the medadmit address?
 
They say it's active but I'm not sure that there's been any wait list movement, or if there will be any until much later in the cycle. But I'm crossing my fingers!

Seems like I read somewhere that Wake accepts a bunch off the WL, schwabejr...I would guess that your IS bona fides will get you in there...keep your chin up! One thing is crystal clear-- Wake likes to be loved!

 
For those who have interviewed, how do I use the PART system to get from the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center to the Greensboro airport? And how long does it take?
 
imo, rent a car. lol. well, PART isn't bad...but i dunno, i found it very hard to coordinate with it...driving was cake. lol

I'm considering sending one too, but I don't know whether it's worth it or not this far into the cycle. If you sent one in though, maybe I will go ahead and send one!

Based on last year's thread they were inviting people well into February so I went ahead and did it. But I am also at the point where I will do anything until I get an actual acceptance

Received an II this afternoon. I'd all but lost hope, so it was really a pleasant surprise and a great boost. For those of you waiting, the first available date is February 22nd, with slots on the remaining Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays through March.

Congrats, I understand as I am still waiting to hear back post-secondary. When were you complete at Wake?

Who have ya'll been addressing your letters of interest to?

Dear Committee on Admissions, etc?
 
I called and asked and they said to address it to the Director of Admissions-Dr. Wells. All her info can be found in the Bulletin
 
Just wondering, does Wake average MCAT scores or does it choose the highest score when evaluating applicants?

I'd really like to know the answer to this as well! My first MCAT was low (didn't study...) and I brought it up 10 points the second time around. This has been a huge problem with some of the more selective schools.

I dont know, but the rejection letter/email said that the interview slots were filled.
I dont know if it was said just to the rejected applicant or will be said to everyone else!
I hope I am wrong.

I hope that isn't true 🙁 I know my status says interviews until March, but I don't know if the March interviews are also filled at this point. Wonder why everyone else didn't get a rejection today then...
 
I didn't get a rejection and my status didn't change, so I sent a letter of interest anyway. Can't hurt at this point. Would love an interview here! 🙂

My status changed (to the interview filled one) but didn't receive an email. Not sure what that means, but just FYI.

I don't know if this is relevant but I got an invite back in November and they were already scheduling interviews for mid January...
 
Although your application was in an interview category, we have filled the interview places for this year. You will be receiving notification of your application status.

This is what it says on their website for me. I dont want to scare any of you and I certainly dont mean to, but this is what it is.
I hope that I am wrong and I will be happy if I am wrong!

i have this same status. what the heck does this mean? can't they just reject us?
 
Mine says that too now. Does that mean that we were supposed to get an interview, but they filled them all? This sucks 🙁.

For serious. Does anyone who is a reapplicant have any words of wisdom for us with this status but no e-mail?
 
Hmmm, I still have the "Your application is complete. Interviews are by invitation from September to March.* If you are invited, you will receive a e-mail or phone call to schedule an interview." status which I've had for months.

Well they rejected me via email..i received the email at 4:57pm, way towards the end of the day! lol
and the letter they sent me said something along these lines
