does case look at ppl on the status at every committee cementing or are they just looked at after class gets filled?

How so?I did get the impression that if you have anything significant to add, you might get looked at earlier.
How so?

Sorry if this has already been asked. Does anyone know if scheduling a flight at 6:00PM after the university track interview is cutting it too close? The difference between that and the next latest flight is about $60 :-/
I would say give yourself at least 30mins to get to the airport by car. The interview ends at ~415 or 430. It might be best to take a later flight. 6pm is cutting it close.
" If you are placed in the Hold category the Admissions Committee will revisit your application later in the admissions cycle to determine whether to place you on the alternate list or close your application for the current cycle."
This is straight from their website: http://casemed.case.edu/admissions/process/interview.cfm
In other words, it is actually a good thing not to have your application reviewed while on hold because there is only one negative outcome that could come out of that. Im sure that is not the news you want to hear but when they place an applicant on hold, they have decided that they would rather fill up the rest of the class without you.
Im on the hold list too, and it really sucks. Lets just hope for a lot of wait list movement this year. Right now, I am just trying to forget about this decision for 5 months til May and just be thankful Ive been accepted at least somewhere else.
Does it seem like a good idea to get a rental car from the airport? It's actually cheaper than taking a cab or a shuttle from the airport to the school and back, and the other benefit is that you can leave as soon as your interview day is over and not have to wait for a shuttle/cab.
Are there good places to park near campus that don't require a permit? Finding parking where I live can be really difficult at times, which is why I thought I'd ask.

Do the research topics, for college track students, have to focus on clinic? In other words, can research topics be basic research? Thanks.
Is it common to get an interview invite from CCLCM but to be rejected pre-interview from CWRU?
It's helpful but not essential for residency matching. ERAS (the computerized app for residency) will give you the option of marking whether you were selected for AOA, not selected for AOA, or there is no AOA at your institution. The UP does have AOA; CCLCM does not. If you get selected, it's a bonus for your app. I have never heard of an employer post residency caring about whether you were AOA in med school or not, but then I haven't graduated residency yet, so take that with a grain of salt.Is AOA important for any residency matching or career success?

It's actually surprisingly common. It's even possible to be accepted to CCLCM and rejected from the UP pre-interview. There is some overlap between what the two adcomms are looking for, but it's not complete overlap.
Just got invited to interview today
Does case reject pre-interview? I have been complete for a while and no news...
ARGH.. Rejected from CWRU University Track.. Letter was dated Nov19 but only posted this morning.. why is CWRU taking so long to post their rejection letters??!? 🙁 (they did the same for my College Track letter - 2 week wait between decision and posting it)

In order to be accepted or during school? You have to do a summer of basic research and a summer of clinical research if you matriculate.
Actually, yes.

I was accepted back in October. Super pumped to have such a great option for next year.
Has anyone heard if the computer choices will remain the same or if they will offer ultra books/convertibles for the 2017 class? I'm also wondering if we will be using Windows 8...
Look through earlier posts in this thread or in the accepted students Facebook group. This has been addressed in both places.
Thanks, I did read the Facebook page and a couple of posts on here as well as the CWRU website. Just wondering if there has been any speculation about next year concerning ultra books or windows 8... Sorry if I did indeed miss these specific topics 🙂
Any idea when post-interview CCLCM decisions will be made this month?
Thanks for asking the question that I've been too scared to ask, lol.

I vaguely remember hearing mid-month a while back. My heart rate jumps every time I think about it.
It'd be a hell of a good Christmas present though wouldn't it![]()
Not sure what they're doing this year, but in the past it's been the week before Christmas. If you get a call from a 216 area code, pick up. 😀Any idea when post-interview CCLCM decisions will be made this month?
