Has anyone got an interview with a 30 MCAT and 3.65 GPA?? Or does everyone attend Creighton have a >33?? I am a non-tradional applicant, been away from school for 4 years already.

3.7/29 here and got an interview the first day they sent them out
I got an II very quickly as well and my gpa is a 3.62, 32 MCAT. I believe they look at more than just numbers

Hmmmm.... my "last updated" date has disappeared completely....
I have no idea what this means...

Same here; I only see a complete date. I'm not going to read too much into it and get my hopes up though...

I've got the same thing. Looking as though multiple people have this problem it either means we're all not being considered for admission anymore or absolutely nothing at all.

I currently have an interview scheduled. I do have the option to upload documents now, and my last updated date is also missing. BUT I don't know if this occurred before I got my II or just after - I hadn't checked my status for a few days and then I got an email II, and when I logged in they were gone.
I would say its probably not a bad thing, though I cannot say for sure.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you guys! 😉
I believe Creighton's MCAT average is 30. They are really big on service so they definitely look at more than just stats.
In the interview email it says specifically they don't store luggage. That was what made me realize I had to do the student host program...What's the best/cheapest way to get to campus/hotel close to campus from the airport on a Friday evening? Will Creighton be able to hold onto a bag if I have a flight after interview day?

Yeah thanks for the tip! Only problem is that my flight leaves at 505 and the interview is supposed to end at 3 so not sure if the extra time to go back to the hotel for it would be wiseIf you don't want to do that, you could try asking hotels if they will store your luggage. I have done that before at conferences. It's like a coat check, where they put it behind the office and give you a little tag to get it later.
Isn't it Creighton that displays a "last updated" status on the secondary page...?
If so, mine disappeared...
If not, I don't remember who does include that status, haha...
Yes, they had a "Last Updated" status on the secondary page, but mine has disappeared as well.
*Commencing neurotic "what does this mean?!" thoughts*

Anyone get an interview recently (complete mid/late August)?
I wouldn't be surprised if a decision has been made on my application. I've applied here twice before with no luck, and it's pretty tough going on a third application, haha...
However, I haven't been rejected yet, so there's still a chance! 👍
I have no clue how long it takes to get around Omaha but I can't envision it to take long to get around town. I might give this a shot.
Sigh...if I get in...I'm going to have to learn to drive...
good luck! I think schools will truly see how passionate you are about medicine...I've had friends who gave up after having one bad MCAT score...so I am very impressed by your perseverance!
I read somewhere that Creighton likes/at least doesn't mind update letters so maybe give them a reason to open your file? I also remember reading that they like community outreach so if that's one of your interests I would highlight that during the update/LOI as well...good luck man! I think this is gonna be your year!!!
I feel you on this... I'm going to have to re-learn to drive! I haven't had a car in all of college so it's been forever.
Haha, thanks, I really do appreciate the kind words! I might start a mentoring gig in the next week or two, so I want to see if that's a go, then I will probably send them something, since I now have some experience in health policy working with our state's chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and have a new class and all...
In any case, I'm confident this is my year too! I've waited long enough, and have never been more confident in my decision to do this.
Good luck to you!
I was complete on 8/22 so hopefully i hear back soon too for an interview!

oh i've never been there, haha. i was wary about even booking the 5:05 flight.. too late now. i sent in my student hosting form already. oh well, still saving me a ton of money.Eppley Airfield is small, and it takes no time to get through security. You'd have more than enough time to get through if you left at 3.
The campus is five minutes away from the airport, as long as you hit every green light, of course.
It's easy to find your way around Omaha because they have a street that bisects the city going east/west. It's a pretty efficient road system.
I was complete 7/12 and I still haven't heard anything 🙁 Should I email them?
Sorry. I meant, I received the complete email on 7/12 and haven't heard from them.
Thanks, blub1212. That's encouraging to hear! 🙂I was complete the beginning of July last year, but didn't get an II until late October. I know the wait is a killer, but keep your head up guys!
Does anyone know how many applications Creighton has received so far? (Probably not but can't hurt to ask)
I received the secondary almost two months ago and have not submitted yet due to personal issues (death in family)....do you guys think it would be too late to submit now?
I have low stats (29/3.7)...

Last year they had about 6,000 total, but there are a lot of people who got accepted from Nov-March interview dates. Having a secondary means you are verified by AMCAS, so you are already ahead of a lot of people. I would definitely finish the secondary and submit it. If you are a good fit for Creighton, it won't matter that you applied a month later or that you have a slightly lower MCAT. I will also point out that your stats aren't actually that low and that your GPA is well within most schools average matriculation range. Creighton's average MCAT is ~30, so if your experiences match up with what they are looking for, your stats will not hold you back.
I think you should apply to as many as possible. Your story may strike a chord with someone on the admissions committee, even if you aren't submitting your secondaries super early. You had a good reason for not submitting right away (by the way, I'm sorry for your loss and I hope you and your family are doing better...), so don't count yourself out of the game yet. If you don't want to fill out all of them, then pick out the few that you're really interested in and submit those secondaries. But don't decide to take yourself out of the game just because you're getting a semi-late start--you're not even that late, if you consider the fact that interviews are offered even in Feb/March for most schools! So keep your chin up 🙂Thanks boshtrich for the uplifting advice. I really appreciate it 🙂 (and thank you cinamin for the fast reply as well)
I'm only applying to schools that fit my goals so I guess I will submit and hope for the best. I also have secondaries for GW, Georgetown, Loyola, Temple, and the three VA schools (Eastern, VCU, Commonwealth) that have just been sitting around for almost 2 months. I almost want to email the schools and notify them why my secondaries have been sitting so long, but I'm afraid it might just have a more negative effect.
I don't have any ties to VA so I was thinking of taking those out, but do you think it is not too late to apply to schools like GW and Georgetown that get so many applicants?
I really am looking for all the advice on this matter so anything will be helpful.
Regardless, I have the day free finally so I'm going to start working on the Creighton secondary first! Thank you again for your encouragement boshtrich!
Thank you doctor116! 🙂
Everyone's advice is starting to sink in. OKAY, I will submit asap. I'm working on them now and I will pray for the best.
If I do get an interview somewhere, I'll definitely explain my lateness if asked. I was really debating about applying this year since my perspectives on a lot of things changed...but it's helped me in a lot of ways too.
appreciate every day, guys!! And good luck to you all.
People have said this in the thread before, but I just had my interview today and it was so relaxed and down to earth. Everyone here is so nice including the people that interviewed with me. The day was altogether very enjoyable. Best of luck to everyone applying here!
