Hello,
I'm starting to get a little worried.... I was complete about the first week of semptember and haven't received an interview..... Does Creighton do silent rejections? Has anyone gotten a.rejection yet? Do you think I should be worried that I haven't recieved an interview yet? ..... I would send an update but I haven't started any new activites I have only continued with some that are in my primary. Any ideas?

The social after the interview is completely optional. No faculty/staff attends the dinner, so it has no bearing on your admission whatsoever. It is a good informal gathering of M1, M2, and interviewees to get a more in-depth look at Creighton.

I stayed with a friend who is a M1 (so I got to ask him a ton of questions), and my flight was leaving that evening, so I did not attend, but apparently it's a pretty cool hangout.

I don't wanna be a negative Nancy, but I spoke to one of the admission counselors a week ago. He told me that Creighton would hang out invitations at the end of this month and at the end of January. My guess is that you missed the train this time.

a M1 friend of mine got in around March, so I doubt they send invitation batches just twice in a year? but then they could have changed their policies, I guess.

I do not know what their policies are. That was what I learned from that counselor.

My acceptance letter came in the mail today! YAY FOR PHYSICAL EVIDENCE!

Got my official packet too!!

Though I can't figure out how to pay the deposit online? Anyone did it and can tell me how?

Interviewed 9/22.

My LOR are still there, but I just noticed the paragraph that was above my term/application status/fee status/payment method/created date list that said something about 4-6 weeks for a decision is now gone.

No idea if that means they've made a decision or what... AHHH!!

It used to say something like "thank you for visiting campus during your interview. Blah blah your app is ready for final review,4-6 weeks..." And that was above where it said like application complete/submitted/fee paid, etc. but now mine is gone

weird I don't remember ever seeing that. You can call to ask about your status, it seems like other people have been told their decision over the phone

I called them and they told me there's no decision on my application yet. My LOR are still there, even though I obv interviewed 9/22 as well...

Has anyone heard of this happening before? Am I on hold? AAHH 🙁

They probably just haven't gotten to your application yet! 🙂
They will have made a decision once your letters are gone (I imagine).

My status changed/disappeared and she told me it'd been reviewed, but no decision yet - guess I'm on some sort of hold :l

Not sure why, I don't think this is typical of Creighton? Shoot. Perhaps I've been rejected and they don't tell you over the phone? I didn't realize they even did post-interview holds, so I'm confused.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for all of you! 🙂 post if you call in/get a call please, before I fly completely off the handle, haha

Maybe they take down your LORs once they pull your file from the stack to review it, rather than when a decision has actually been made. In either case, it sounds like you will receive a decision very soon!

no just the MCW one. I just would never choose to attend Creighton over a school that's close to home/a great fit for me. Definitely liked Creighton, but no reason to spend the money for a deposit when I know for sure I wouldn't attend. at this point my decision is down to MCW and UW (if they decide to accept me 😀) and perhaps a few other choice schools if they decide they like me enough for an interview haha

oh no! i'm so sorry! well good news for you: remember the promising interviewed/accepted statistics we saw at the end of the day? oh you were sleeping then? me too.

but i do have a US news subscription and know that something along the lines of 400 ish out of 600 ish interviewees get accepted. GOOD LUCK!! it's not over!

Ha! Hardly. I'm a Midwest boy--living around east coast people for six months taught me that. Was at CU-Denver last week--amazing campus and nice, hippie-granola folk. Loved the breweries. Now that the interview trail has finally ended, I suddenly find myself back in the 9-5, working schlub phase after 2 post-bacc years of fretting over the mcat, amcas crap, and where to apply. I'd say it's serene, but it's more boring than anything. "Work-hard-play-hard"'s don't have "gap years," I guess.
