i'll quote myself on this, since it didn't get any feedback...anyone know if batches of rejections are ever sent out or is it silent until spring?

A percentage of interviewees at the top get accepted, a percentage at the bottom get rejected, and the rest have to wait to be pushed up or down the list depending on how subsequent interviewees do.

Is there a shuttle/bus that goes from Lebanon airport to the campus?

There is a trolley/bus, but it doesn't go to the airport. I took a cab for $20 from the airport to the campus. The airport is super small, so no buses go there, but if you walk down the street from the airport you could get on a bus. You also fly in on a single prop plane which is kind of fun and scary. You have a great view in the day on that flight.

Hey guys, this has probably been answered before but i can't seem to find it.
How long does the Dartmouth coach take from Boston to Dartmouth?

Just had an interview here last thursday. I was looking to send a Thank You letter to the people I interviewed with but I can't seem to find him online. Guess call and get an email address to send an Thank You letter to?

Recent interview invite, I am incredibly excited for the vast opportunities here. I have some business and management experience during biology undergrad by starting a small business that I worked on for about 8h/week. Naturally, I am interested in both business and management, but I was wondering if the Dartmouth AdComs would be turned off by an applicant showing interest in MD/MBA with Tuck Business School? I realize that at many schools, especially more primary-care-oriented schools, AdComs may be alarmed.

I wouldn't think so. They have an MD/MBA program for a reason right?

It just seems to me that AdComs are usually very cautious about applicants who have a serious consideration for health care business, who may eventually become their careers in place of clinical practice. Any additional comments would be very much appreciated.

I interviewed 9/25 at Dartmouth, and am wondering when they will start sending out admissions decisions? Today (10/15) is the first day schools can notify students, but does anyone know when they will start letting us know?

I got an acceptance today (my first one 😀), and it was very surprising.

From the website:

Notification of acceptance or denial is issued as soon as the decision is known, but usually no earlier than January 1.

heard nothing back although interviewed pretty early. Feel like WL or rejected as someone already got the acceptance.

me too, Dean Welch did say they handed out very few acceptances early, and the most come out in January through March

I interviewed pretty early, definitely one of the first few days.

Thanks! I guess only very qualified candidates will get early acceptance.

for those who interviewed at dartmouth; do most interviews last less than 30 minutes and do they ask many ethical questions or was the interview relaxed conversation? thanks

From talking with my fellow interviewees, the interviewers vary drastically. Aside from the schools that do MMI, this was true of all my interview schools.

At one school (not Dartmouth), I was told that the interviews are always low pressure and was then blindsided by the only exception anyone had ever heard of.

In sum, always prepare for the worst while hoping for the best. 🙂

interviews are 30, maybe 45 minutes, super casual and conversational with the typical tell me about yourself and your ECs, why medicine, why Dartmouth

Yup. Honestly I felt like it was more of a conversation, getting to know you kinda thing. One guy asked me how I got from where I was to this seat. Just know your application and you should be set. Be relaxed and normal!

Rejected today, complete mid August. Don't feel too bad, got interviews at 2 of my top choices so far. Good luck everyone!!

Rejected just a little while ago, complete mid-July. II's at Wayne and Georgetown though so not super heartbroken

Rejected here as well. Not too bummed. Complete a looooooong time ago.

I can't imagine only 1 SDNer has been accepted so far, anybody know of anyone else?

Are there student interviewers or only faculty?

When I went there was student shadowing and sitting on interviews that seemed like he was being trained to interview, so I think there might be student interviewers too.

I think someone else said they did. Don't worry though, your time will come. I think for me I got lucky that my interviewer and I clicked, otherwise I'm not sure what they saw.

I know one person interviewed on the same day as me got accepted. I think she has not posted in here.

Complete 7/31 and not a peep since then- is there still a chance I'll be offered an interview or do they just take especially long to reject some people?

Since people are bookkeeping, a friend who isn't a SDNer was accepted on Monday.

This is a really nice school in a beautiful area with great faculty and students. Good luck everyone!

Just got my rejection email :/ complete 9/13 good luck to everyone else!
