Yeah, I'm still just "Application Status: Completed on 7/30/2012." 😕
RIGHT WHAT IS THIS. Maybe an II tomorrow?! Wishful thinking. I'm thinking they lost my file hahaha
Me too. If they're going to reject me, get on with it 😴
Seriously. Now I'll just anxiously check my emails tomorrow, YUP
Hard to motivate to submit the secondary when I see so many rejection posts from people with better stats than me..

Same here, especially with that $130 secondary app fee 👎

Not being rejected yet really has my hopes up for getting an interview today. Eeeeek!
I would have a happy-heart attack if Georgetown decided to interview me.I really want just one school to send me an interview invite already haha.
Anyone have any advice -
Wasn't in this huge batch of rejections. Complete 7/27. Should I call and inquire about my status, or wait until its been 10 weeks? I just want to make sure there is no problem - last year I had a few issues with schools 'misplacing' my file, so now I'm worried about it! Eeeek!
Rejected. I honestly believe they go by metrics and experience. Word of advice to the ones still applying: do not waste too much time on the secondary because I did, trying to make it the best one. Doesn't work at the end of the day. If one has stellar scores then the content on secondaries might help or else be prepared for a rejection especially when there are 12000 odd applicants to a school. Good luck to the rest of the applciants

I actually spent the most amount of time on this secondary (3 weeks, 4 reviewers). I really dug into the second essay and they sent me an interview right away, my first one actually. The application process is definitely a crapshoot like someone said, but if you really like the school then putting in time writing genuine essays about "why Gtown" can't hurt your chances. Personally, I thought my cura personalis essay was the best one I wrote for any school and got an interview.
I guess all I'm trying to say is keep the faith and don't let all the application carnage discourage you
Quick question.
I submitted my secondary a couple of weeks ago and got the email confirming this submission. However, when I log on to check the status of my app it says that I haven't submitted. When I go to check my app there are no fields that are filled out, as if I never started the application at all.
Does anyone have this problem? Should I contact them? I haven't yet gotten an email saying that my app is complete, although I did get the email saying that I submitted it.
Hey everyone,
I'm working on my 'Why Georgetown' essay and I realized that it's over a single-spaced page in 12 pt font, but still only about 4300 characters. They said a single spaced 12pt font page or 5000 characters - does anyone know which one to go by? Or is it just ok to be somewhere in the middle?
I cannot for the life of me figure out how they are deciding to interview people. I have a 3.72c/3.60s and 30, which is better than some of the people I am seeing getting II's. I am published, I have done CV research in Dallas for 2 years, I graduated school in 3 years, and held 4 different major leadership positions on my campus while I was there. I know my letters are stellar... I cannot imagine what else I could have possibly done! Does anyone have any insight? I just turned 22, I am white, and I am from Texas. Any criticism is appreciated...

its as simple as there are (roughly) about 100 people applying for each spot in the class, 1 gets it 99 don't....
Not a student athlete, went to NYU (as secular as it gets), but lots of good community service and ECs. Interviewing next week!Three things I have noticed about our first year class is that there are a huge number of former student athletes, that everyone has done large amounts of community service, and a large number of students are from schools like BC, ND, Loyola Chicago, and of course Gtown. Curious to see if people with interview invites match this description.
