Did anyone else who already interviewed not get the interview feedback survey from Hofstra? I thought this was one of the best and more relaxed interview days I've attended and wanted them to know they're doing a great job.

I don't recall filling one out, but that doesn't mean I didn't get one.

Any chance today is another day we could hear back? I'd love to know before the holiday.

I received the interview feedback interview I think two days after my interview.

I interviewed here a couple of weeks ago and I'm hoping to hear before the holidays. It would be a great early Christmas present :)

Hey, I'm not sure how accurate this information is about previous interviewees, but today at my interview the Director of Admissions shed some light on the admissions process post-interview.

She said that only a select few ("top-of-the-top") post-interview applicants would be accepted and they would hear relatively soon. She also said the majority of applicants who interviewed would be put on a waitlist. However, she specified that there was a lot of movement off the waitlist. You won't hear if you've been waitlisted until March.

Bummer, because unless I'm one of those select few accepted students sounds like I won't be hearing until March :(

this is great info. thanks a lot for sharing! I'm glad Hofstra's ADCOM is transparent about the process bc it's a new school

Thanks for the info man. Joanne Snapp told my group very similar information when I interviewed. I really love the school and I am wishing/hoping to be part of that directly accepted group.

+1!

I really, really loved the access to clinical sites and the idea that Hofstra U and North Shore LIJ are equal partners in the establishment of the med school. Also the CLI was really cool and high tech. Students were super nice. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how I feel about the curriculum (too much self-directed leaning for me) and I've attended interviews at schools with better facilities. Basically I've got some strong pros and a few cons, but I'd really love to be able to consider this school as a place for my medical education. Very impressive especially for a new school.

I love the facilities and I'm very excited about the unique curriculum.

Ahhh congrats! Apparently (or what I gathered from information at the interview) being accepted to Hofstra this early means they think very highly of you! Go celebrate, parks :D

Aw thank you! I actually don't have the most amazing stats..3.45cgpa and 36mcat. My gpa is def low for MD schools. So I feel like this means Hofstra is looking at the whole picture even in these early acceptances.my interview went really really well so everything counts!!! Good luck to everyone :)
