True, it's just strange that people were notified both ways and I haven't heard anything.

Congratulations to everyone accepted!!! And good luck to those who have been deferred!! I remember I got the deferral letter 2 days before Thanksgiving last year and was a bit bummed... but I was accepted in March so don't lose hope 🙂

I've been tour guiding interviewees and a lot of people had mixed feelings about the new curriculum (which I imagined would be a positive thing). If anyone has specific questions or things you'd like to de-mystify, I can try to answer some Q's for you!

I sent a thank you note to my individual interviewer, and then another to the panel interviewers and admissions staff combined. I also emailed a quick thanks to my panel interviewers.

Anyone that got accepted want to share stats?

Good bit above their averages.

Wish the next set of you interviews the best of luck this week. Hopefully they'll give you something to be thankful for before break! 😀

Has anyone gotten an II recently? If so, when were you complete?

Just got the deferred til March e-mail... kinda bummed, but kinda used to this waiting game now :/

Deferred as well... interviewed on 10/17

Does anybody know the acceptance rate after deferral?

did you interview the week of October 22 or October 29?

I was there October 26th.

From the wording in the e-mail. Dean Wallace said many would get acceptances, some would get waitlisted, and very few will be rejected. I am going to treat those words as if there are golden rays of sunshine radiating from them.

Did anyone else who was there the week of October 22nd not get a decision today? Congrats to the accepted and hang in there to those who were deferred, you still have a great shot.

Does anyone know when NU's first rejections are sent? Been complete for a few months...crickets...

I should clarify, I didn't even get deferred... Nothing. Trying to figure out if they got to everyone.

Edit: never mind I misinterpreted your +1... Guess that means there's at least two of us.

Not to be a downer, but take Dean Wallace's words with a grain of salt since historically they reject about 50% of those they interview. That's a lot more than a few lol

Still, 50% is a much better percent than most top 20's.

on US News it looks like its 62% acceptance rate among those that are interviewed... that seems very high for a top 20

That's what happens when you have a large class size and a rather small [selective] interview pool. There are a couple schools that do this in the Top 20/15/10, NU isn't alone. As an applicant, I appreciate it. It's good to know that spending all that money to attend that interview isn't for a one in ten chance of acceptance...

Also, more acceptances should go out this week, panic mode. 😉

Not much of a numbers person, but that does look comforting in some not very secure way

And good luck to errbody hoping for some Feinberg love!

Anyone receive an acceptance packet yet? There isn't much info for us to go off of after accepting the offer!

Is any chance of getting II with stats (32 /3.7) with lot of research experience and publication

I also interviewed week of 10/22 and haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully this week! Good luck to everyone!

I've been complete since September and haven't heard anything. Does this mean I'm probably out of luck?

Still hoping NU will give me a shot...

They seem to give out acceptances and deferrals on Tuesdays or Thursdays, which I'm sure you know. Hopefully you 10/2#s get some excellent news and join us this week. 🙂

Do you know which days they give out II's?

Terrifying yet relieving knowing there's a good chance we'll hear something tomorrow. Good luck everyone :xf: and Feinberg, give me some love, please!

I got mine on Sunday at like 6:00 am, which was probably the weirdest time I received an II.

I got mine on a Friday at 3, which is the most normal time possible. Guess they just send them whenever they feel like it.

They seem pretty random.

Note sure. Looking at past years threads, it looked like the most common was Tuesday/Thursday, but some of them were even Saturday/Sunday acceptances... and these acceptance dates seemed to be scattered every other week or even longer. Basically, their committee meetings still seem pretty random. But hopefully we get some more positive news tomorrow afternoon. 😀

I was wondering the same thing. I want some more shiny pamphlets.

no application updates came out this week for anyone?

If not, it'd make sense. They tell interviewing students they'll hear back in 4-6 weeks, so it's likely they meet every other week or so to make final decisions on applications. Since decisions came out last week, it might be a bit until the next ones come out.
