I wouldn't count on it. I highly doubt you can glean anything from your BAMF status.
I find that being a glass half empty person in these cases is honestly for the best. I hope I'm proven wrong and you get into your #1 choice, but I wouldn't count on it.

I had one of my interviewer at UT Houston last year tell me that I was "crazy" to think about a 2 year MPH as a backup plan because "with [my] numbers and resume I'll definitely get in" (and he hoped it would be at Houston).
Lo and behold, here I am on my second attempt at medical school
I had one of my interviewers at UT Southwestern (this year) say something comparable, as did my first interviewer at A&M. I don't put any stock into those kinds of comments anymore, though

. It just sounds like a cruel joke to me now. I was actually on the verge of crying when my interviewer at UTSW mentioned it (my eyes definitely watered up...a lot. I can only hope that he didn't notice.). Fortunately, this was right near the end of the interview and I was able to pull myself together/wash my face in the restroom shortly after. It's just really difficult having your emotions toyed with in this way.
Anyways, best of luck to everyone!
