Feb 18th, but initially I had only applied to the MD program (I was accepted for that one on the 27th). But after my interview I became extremely interested in the MD/MPH and decided to apply to that one as well. But if I got a call it means that other calls are coming, good luck! 🙂
 
Has anyone who interviewed on February 15th heard back yet?
 
Accepted. Got the call today. I still can't believe it. I Interviewed 01/28/2013.

were you on the alternate list before getting accepted or is this the first you've heard from them since you interviewed? either way congrats!
 
Quick question for those that have been accepted already... Have any of you recieved your financial aid package yet? If you have, how soon after your acceptance did it arrive? Otherwise, any word on when we should be receiving them? Current students, feel free to chime in as well!
 
Congrats! I interviewed on 2/1 and still haven't heard anything, is this the first you've heard from them?

Just from browsing this forum, it appears that they send the alternate list emails out the day after they make the acceptance calls. I interviewed mid-February and didn't get a call today, so I'll be checking my inbox tomorrow. However, I guess it can sometimes take several weeks for a decision to be made, as there are a couple of people on here who interviewed in early February and even late January who haven't heard anything yet. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow, I'll shoot the office of admissions a quick call. What can it hurt?
 
Anyone get an II today? Do you know if the class is full?
 
Congrats on all the acceptances everyone! Can any of you comment about the interview day? Hard, relaxed, stressful? Also for those of you without a car, how did you travel from one campus to the next? Car rental? Tri-rail? Thanks!
 
Super relaxed and conversational. My interviewer really seemed to want to be able to make the best case for me before the committee. She would often say things like, "Now, the committee is going to ask about ___________ and how it will affect your success here. What do you think?" The admissions team at Miami tries really hard to make a good impression, as compared to my state school, which was basically like, "Trust us, we're awesome." I rented a car and thought that it was worth it. Be sure to hit the beach while you're there. Good luck!

Asked the office some time ago, it should be this month. Merit scholarships come with your acceptance letter or a few days after. Everything else should come in the package.
 
Accepted today. I interviewed 3/1.

Placed on the Alternate list, this was my top choice 🙁
So far I have 4 waitlists and no acceptances, I guess I should sign up to retake the MCAT and start working on my app again...

don't give up hope! when/what time did you get the email? i interviewed on 2/22 and haven't heard anything
 
I just called the admissions office and was told my application hasn't come up at a committee meeting yet and i'll have to wait till the next one (March 27th). I interviewed on 2/22. So for those of you who haven't heard back, it wouldn't hurt to call and ask about the status of your app.
 
How do you get invited to the Facebook group to search for a possible roomie

Yeah I took the metro rail from the Miami campus to the Tri-rail station, and then took the tri-rail to West Palm. Then I took the bus from the west-palm beach trirail station to the airport to rent a car, but I imagine you could also take a bus/ cab to your hotel in west palm.

The trip to west palm beach took me like 3.5 hrs, and I thought it was a nice trip! (although I enjoy taking public transit)
 
anyone thinking they in the silent rejection club? no word from them so far and i thought i had a decent stats to have a shot here.
 
Any females that are interviewing MD/MPH March 25/26 that want to share a hotel room near the regional campus and split the cost? 🙂

I have called any they have told me two different things both times... They told me mid-April one time, and they told me it ends Friday another time. I am not sure what to believe.
 
Does anyone know if the ADCOM is meeting again soon, or can we expect radio silence until around May 15th?

I called this afternoon and was told that interviews are over this Friday. So looks like a pre-interview rejection for me. Good luck to the rest of you

I interviewed on March 25 and they told me I would make it to the meeting on April 17th, not sure if there is another one before that though. they said they make acceptance phone calls at 5:03pm on April 17th for the people in that decision pool if that helps.

During my interview on March 25th they said the very last interview day is Friday March 29th

My interviewer told me they interview about 500 and accept about 300 for about 200 spots..
 
Can the host of the Facebook group for the Class of 2017 please add people recently accepted. I need to be at school a few months before school starts and I am in the process of trying to find roommates. Thanks and congrats to everyone that got in/good luck to everyone still waiting.
 
does anyone know if umiami is open to LOI post interview and pre decision?
