I'm just preparing for getting rejected. Think I'm going to head to a bar and hit on all of the most attractive people there, then maybe the potential upcoming rejection from Mizzou won't hurt as bad haha.

I think a rejection is better than a waitlist string-along. At least mizzou tells you what part of the WL you're on. I was on another school's waitlist for months last year, it was awful. I would rather they just rejected me outright.

Mizzou also has a waitlist that moves, which is far better than most places that heavily overaccept. I wouldn't mind MU waitlist, because there is at least hope of getting in, I feel like anywhere else, being on the waitlist is a death sentence.

Yeah, a mizzou waitlist is probably one of the best to be on. Though I'd hate to be that one guy that is called off the waitlist after classes have already started... so much panic would ensue.

yep...oh well. life goes on. applying here next year for sure!! got a few plan B's up my sleeve so if anything at least ill have a few options open
 
How has NO ONE heard???? I would have thought one of us would have gotten something by now. Also, where is everyone finding this Facebook group at? I can't find it
 
Literally 2 min ago. Says you can reply to the email about which third you are on. I guess it is better than a rejection. BTW, it was obvious before I read the email I was on the alternate list. The subject was "MU School of Medicine - Alternate List"

Damn, I'm definitely rejected then.

My heart skipped a beat when the phone rang a minute ago. It was about telephone book delivery 🙁

im guessing all the acceptance, alternate list, rejection emails go out about the same time. seems like theyve already started alternate list emails. so if you havent gotten an email yet, its not looking good
 
Alternate list at 11:59 as well, hoping to be high up. Do those on the wait-list usually get automatic interviews when re applying?

I was flat-out rejected last year and still got an interview this year. I think I heard that everyone who interviewed previous years and don't make the cut get another interview next year automatically.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that, it's pure speculation.

ughhhhh i still haven't gotten an email and my heart stops beating EVERY single time i have to refresh my page. omgomgomg.

are they sending these out in bulk based on what your status will be? ahhhhhh.

Im sorry Buttermellow! I decided to just get on here and see if you guys had some good news.... you got into another program though which is pretty great in itself!?

Yeah, I am soooooo glad I have another acceptance. 2 app cycles was enough!
 
My email is not even working... cant check it... this sucks. Lot of you guys have really good stats so I'm probably rejected as well....

I'll jump in the pool. Alternate list email - 11:58am. Wonder if they are doing it alphabetically. I'm in A-E of the alphabet, maybe that's the case?

Emailed to ask about what third I'm in - did anyone else get a reply?

Got mine at 11:59. Last name F. Also emailed back, but no response yet. Called and they said it had to be through email.

No reply yet but I emailed. I doubt that it is alphabetical since every single person that interviewed was already rank-ordered.
 
Side note, but I wonder how much extra time it would have taken them to include a simple "first" "middle" or "last" third in each alternate list email.

I also emailed back, but still haven't gotten a reply. I don't think that they are going alphabetically because my last name is between V and Z. Also got my email at 11:58
 
Rejected. Ouch. Is it too early to call and ask how to better my application for next year?
 
i was doubting the alphabetical thing, but my last name starts with a V, and i still haven't heard anything!!!:scared:

True, I am praying to GOD all of us SDN waitlisted folks are on the top third or atleast middle third where there is some hope.
