What do you think my chances are, I only applied to WVU. I am graduating with a doctorate from pharmacy school in may with a 3.9 graduate GPA and 3.96 undergraduate GPA. I didn't have much time to study for the MCAT so ended up with a 25Q. My interview went great, I have a ton of extra curricular activities, and years of healthcare experience including working with physicians. I am a WV resident. Honestly, what do you think my chances are?

Hey everyone!

I'm right now an MS1 at WVU School of Medicine. Congratulations to those that were accepted and good luck to those that are waiting to hear. FYI, I was OOS, had no connections to the state of WV and heard I got in May 15 SO DON'T GIVE UP HOPE.

I'm in here because my roommate and I, another MS1, are looking for 2 roommates for next year. We want to live with medical school students because we don't want to bother undergrads or have undergrads bother us. Our apartment is actually freaking gorgeous and is built for 4 people. I think a few people said there isn't movement until May.

I think for the initial rounds of acceptances it is very important, but I would guess the waitlist is mostly made up of OOS students with few ties.

i'd doubt it. in mid-november there were interviews scheduled through february. i'd imagine they stretch further out by now.

i dont expect WL movement until may 15 at the earliest.

Thanks, for some reason I thought we would get monthly movement/updates on the WL. Definitely a huge downer.

For anyone left to interview, Good Luck! I interviewed this past week and it was just as everyone else already described here... Laid back and focused on your application. I even found some of the questions to be quite broad, basically just talk about this or that. They told us that wait list movement can be expected around March 15 and then again May 15 and thereafter.

I interviewed last week. I wasn't too happy with how I did. I feel like I didn't get to talk about a lot of the things I had focused on highlighting. Overall, I didn't really feel a positive vibe. This was my first interview and I'm a bit concerned. I felt the exact same way about my interview! It was my first also and I ended up feeling like I didn't do as well as I wanted to, and also feeling surprised at what I was and wasn't asked. I ended up getting waitlisted. I'm sure it went better than you think!

I would suggest trying to live somewhere near the hospital/stadium unless you don't mind paying for parking everyday. I would also stay clear of the "downtown" area because of the loud partying.

Depends on where OOS. Mine for example was dated Dec. 12th and I received the letter on Dec. 17th and I am in MA.

Hmm not sure what to tell you. I had interviewed on Dec. 3rd and was rather surprised at the quick turn around. You probably shouldn't worry too much till at least mid-Feb because it seems a month turn around is the average wait time from other SDNers.

I interviewed this week, and they told me that They probably won't present me to the committee for two more weeks because they still have a lot of applicants to present. It all depends.They meet every Tuesday. So if you are OOS my guess is that it will take at least a month to receive a letter. Stay positive.
