Yeah, they're not answering my calls either. In one of the emails I got from them it listed hours that they would answer calls, but those don't seem to be followed too rigorously.

I heard admission/rejection, but it might be the same for interview invites. I got my invite on the 4th though, and I've heard a few folks getting admissions decisions toward the 30th.

Hope u get good news! I know u have been waiting. Lol have you tried to call them? I dont think it would be too pushy if you just call once and ask.
 
Ok, so since the committee is supposed to meet on the 15th, but that was Saturday, and today is President's Day, do you think they'll actually meet tomorrow? The wait is killing me!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. They will most likely meet tomorrow or some time later this week.
 
International student, complete since 10/21 still haven't heard anything. Anyone in a similar condition?

Did you get a complete email or is that the date you submitted your secondary? I never got anything after submitting my secondary.
 
For those that interviewed on the 28th, I'm sure it was cutting it close to be sent to committee for a 02/15 decision date. I anticipate that those decisions will come out on the 15th of March.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good news from them!
 
I too call and call during the hours listed on the website, however no one picks up. I have not gotten an interview yet. Has anyone been invited for March interviews?

It seems they send Ii till apr end as per thread this yr and last yr, is that true? But does the adcom meets only once a month? If not, how often and when?
Also what is admission criteria , I read somewhere on this thread that they r not big about mcat and GPa
What was lowest mcat and GPa accepted last year?

Interview are upto April. I think in the beginning they meet once a month and towards the end, maybe every two weeks. At Howard, they see how you are as an overall applicant, and it is important to have a good GPA/MCAT, but don't think that is the only thing. Key is being a good overall applicant! Good luck everyone!

I had the same question! I sent in last semester's transcript from my graduate program that I was accepted to after I had already submitted AMCAS, and so I had to send it to the school directly, and am kind of nervous that they never received it 🙁 Tried calling to no avail. Any thoughts?

But to all of you posting well wishes... thank you so much! It brightens my day!
 
Sitting on pins and needles waiting for March 15th to come around so we can (God willing) hear some news. Interviewed in January.
 
I have wanted to update my file for over a month, but they don't know how to answer the phone or respond to an email..... so that hasn't happened

Thanks for info sweetness, just Curious What's an acceptable good mcat - GPa for Howard to be in overall good applicant category?

I've been reading the forums for a couple of weeks now. Made an account just to ask. But I also interviewed in january. Got an email saying my app has been reviewed by the committee and that I can't be notified of the decision until the dean signs it. Which would be "on or around February 20th". But no word as of yet. Is there a specific reason you said march 15th?

When I interviewed in January, Ms. Walk informed the group that our applications had the chance of being reviewed in time for a February 15th decision. However, if that did not occur, we would be pushed to the March 15th decision date. Since I haven't gotten an email from Ms. Walk and the committee telling me that my application has been reviewed by the committee, I'm assuming my application did not make it into that batch. With that said, it's only right for me to further assume that my application will be reviewed in time to hear back by March 15th. Hope all of that makes sense! lol You seem to be in a different position than me because you got the "out of committee" email. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that it is good news!!!

I got this same email. I was thinking about calling soon but I really just think they might be a tad bit behind. Figured I would be patient. Let me know if you find anything else out.

It's good to hear i'm not the only one in that boat. And yea I've refrained from calling as well and decided to just wait it out. Hopefully we'll be hearing from them soon!

Same here....
 
I interviewed Jan 28th. I emailed Ms. Walk and she said that most of those who interviewed in mid to late Jan would go onto the next cycle because they were behind. Good luck everyone!

Do you mind sharing when you interviewed, and when you got that email?
