Yeah, I am hoping that calls haven't gone out... We'll see, I guess. The past couple years there have been several folks who jump on to say "yeah!"

If I get a call, you'll know it 😀 :luck: :xf:
 
From what I can tell, calls usually go out the day after the meeting.
 
No call here 🙁 I'm really hoping and praying this phone lights up with an unknown number tomorrow!!!!!! If there are ANY EDP applicants out there that did get called I hope they would have posted by now so maybe for us for now no news is good news

Seems like for the past few years there are usually a few people who get them afternoon/evening on the day of the meeting. Maybe it's just that no one who got in early posts on SDN.

Possibly? :/ only other thing I'm wondering if since it was such a large applicant pool this year for EDP if the committee took longer to review files; there was 120 interviewed for EDP this year if I recall correctly versus about 85-100 from previous years? Idk still hanging on to a little hope until tomorrow comes

I really hope that was it. My plan is to stay up really late so that I will either be woken up by an acceptance call or check my email for the bad news. From what I read on previous years' forums, the dreaded email comes around 11 am.

I agree... I saw posts as late as 9 PM, (which is now), but there were posts from the following day, so I am praying that's the case now! Until I get the dreaded email, I will be here staring at this screen :corny:

So, now that there are 13 people looking at this thread (and I am assuming that its only because we are all trying to figure out how EDP went)... did ANYONE get a call yet?

I'm waiting on a call as well. Before I left the interview, she said they do calls up until Oct. 1. I will post if I hear anything!
 
Nothing my way yet either... MUSM posted on their Facebook that calls would go out "prior to Friday 9/27" so I guess that means sometime today. Hoping we get good news soon!
 
Just got an acceptance email! Has anyone else gotten an email or have they all been phone calls?
 
I got a phone call at 11 and an e-mail around 12:30.

Congrats to all the email acceptances! Was the email from admissions or from your interviewer? It seems like past announcements came by phone be by the interviewer themselves. Just trying to hold onto that last thread of hope. 🙁

Do you know when exactly the email comes that tells people they're deferred?
 
If we are wait listed/rejected do you still get an email today or tomorrow letting us know what the status is

We should. They put anyone who was not accepted in EDP into the regular acceptance pool. In the past, they have sent those emails out, but not typically on the same day as acceptances.
 
Waiting for a call that may never come sure is depressing...

The email came from admissions but the call came from my interviewer. Good Luck!
 
I just called Gail Coleman, she said if you didn't get an email you didn't get accepted. The acceptance emails that have been sent out are the only people that got in. We are rolled over into regular pool now if you are one of us who didn't get an email. 🙁
 
I just got an email for wait list status. Congrats to all those accepted! Good luck to my fellow wait list applicants!

How do you know you're waitlisted? The waitlist doesn't generally come out until February or March. My email says I am in the regular pool applicants now. Please confirm.

EDP applicant who got the email thursday about being rolled into regular admission ://

I have heard that if you were ED and get rolled into regular decision you get preference in the ADCOM meetings because you were an ED applicant......can anyone confirm if this is true?
 
I really wish Mercer would expand its number of spots from 100 to at least 150. 🙁 Especially now that they have 3 campuses.

I wonder if the reason why they had so many more ED applicants then before was the increase in MCG ED requirements?

From what they told us at my interview, the only reason preventing them from increasing enrollment in Savannah was physical space. They are doing a lot of construction to increase the number of meeting rooms so they may be adding seats next year or the year after. The Columbus campus only offers the 3rd and 4th years so it won't increase the class size until they offer the full curriculum.

Does the campus we interview at affect which campus we get placed at if we get accepted?

No, if you're accepted you'll fill out a campus preference form. The assignments are first come, first served.

I know right? If Mercer expanded its class to 150 that would give the faculty 50 more potential targets
 
I was so depressed that I got rolled over in RD (email) I actually avoided SDN ever since the notice. I am surprised not more acceptances are on here (or disclosed rather).

Wait list doesn't get made until late cycle next year. I asked what I could do in the mean time, Leslie said I can send updates that get considered, she also sent me the stats of who got accepted from EDP, 27.27 MCAT and 3.41GPA. Which just baffles me, I think there must be other considerations for applicants, and a stellar interview doesn't have the bearing I thought it would. From what I understand they only chose 40 students from the 150 they interviewed.

As far as wait list stories.... I had a friend get accepted in November (EDP, Rolled to RD, Accepted in November). He told me of wait listed getting accepted in April, June and July. Keep your hopes up fingers crossed and I hope we get to be class mates for next year.
 
Hi! so I have an interview for Mercer in October! I'm very excited / nervous!! I'm a regular decision applicant. I was just looking at the sample interview schedule and there were 2 interviews mid-day and then the last thing of the day was an " Interview/Dismissal". Does that mean if they like you, you get another interview and if they don't you will just have the two interviews?

No it means you might have your 2 interviews back to back or you might have 1 then lunch then have your second interview after lunch depends on your interviewer- we only had 2 people in our group that had to do a split schedule like that when I interviewed though

Nope I was on the 12th in Macon, another interesting thing is that myself and only one other person in my group were 1st year apps everyone else in our group applied last year and got either wait listed or even rejected post interview. I guess second years the charm for most? :/
