I'm in the same boat. I interviewed 1/7, haven't heard anything, and can't stay off this site. I don't know if looking at last year's thread is helpful either since SLU probably has very different application cycles from one year to the next. I know someone on this site got WL recently who interviewed 1/6. I don't know if that is any indication that they have stopped acceptances before 5/15 though.

ive been on here non-stop too. I interviewed on 1/7 too and haven't heard back yet. I called the admissions office a couple days ago. they said it all pretty much depends on when your interviewer presents to the admissions committee. they said they even have some people from late December who haven't received a decision yet. I imagine we'll hear back next week or at the very latest 2 weeks from now.

II this morning. Was complete mid-December (long story ugh). Super excited for the opportunity to see St. Louis!
 
I have an interview March 3, and I was wondering if anyone knew how to find housing for the night before? I called admissions, and they pointed me to the secondary app where apparently there was a link to request a student to stay with, but I can't find anything... Any help would be appreciated!

It should be on your application under My Interview - > Interview Links - > Student Lodging Program.

They don't have a second look as far as I know. There is only a second look for students that are contacted by the office of multicultural affairs (so, URM students).

There is a committee of current first years that is in charge of orientation, and they should set up a FB page eventually if one of you guys don't do it first. There isn't a formal roommate/housing search that I know of, but there will be lots of posts in the FB group about people looking for roommates, or wanting to pass down their current housing to other slu students. Does anyone know what are the interview dates that SLU is offering now?

Still waiting on an interview...I'd rather they let me know something, even if that's to reject me...sigh.
 
Just got the Alternate List email. I'm a bit upset but I had a rough interview so I can't really complain. Complete 11/05, interviewed 1/7, LizzyM 69.9

I can't imagine the WL moves pre May 15th, right? Even at that, doesn't SLU over accept? I'm not too sure how to judge my chances.

Yup, I just got the alternate list e mail too. I put literally EVERYTHING I could into getting in here since I like the school so much, including an update and extra letters of rec. I doubt I'll have any chance off the WL. Really really sucks.
 
Also just received the alternate list email. Interviewed 1/14. 🙁 I really liked everything about the school so im hoping I have a chance to get in, but I dont know what those chances are.

Sorry to hear that. How was your interview? I'm WL too and the only thing I can think of that might be the reason is the interview. Love to hear your opinion

sounds like the people that interviewed on 1/7 got screwed over.

I sent a message to my interviewer. I felt like it went fine, but I guess we'll see what he thinks.

I'm just a guy who has followed the SLU threads from a few years back but I've never seen them accept pre May 15th. SLU overaccepts but almost all schools do. The WL definitely moves, even though I got the short end of the stick last year. Keep your hopes up!

For update letters do you email them or use the portal?
 
for the update I both uploaded it to the portal and e mailed it. for the letters of rec. I had people mail them.

Sadly, I'm withdrawing from SLU. I had an amazing experience here at my interview and am totally honored to be accepted to such an awesome program. Realistically, it came down to cost, and compared to my other options, the cost of SLU didn't quite outweigh the other benefits. I wish everyone luck and if any of you are the girl I journeyed the Chicago airport and "distressed passenger" hotel system with after our interview in December, I hope you got in!

I am also in the process of roommate search and such. i literally know nothing about st. louis (my interview was my first and only time to the city)i plan on returning to visit and scout out an area that i wanna live in. any suggestions/hints/advice?

These give a good overview of the different neighborhoods. I know several people that live in the county (myself included) and really like it. It's generally cheaper and safer, with a more suburb feel as opposed to city, but your drive will be 15-20 mins.
 
Pre-interview rejection today. I honestly wasn't expecting much, so it doesn't really hurt. Good luck to everyone!
 
I submitted all of my stuff to SLU on 6/28, the first secondary I completed. I feel like a completely different person after all this time haha. I think it's time to receive a rejection.

To those of you who were accepted, have you gotten your SLUnet ID and temporary passport yet? Also, has anyone received any info on Financial Aid?

Financial aid information was contained in the initial acceptance email. The email that followed your tuition deposit contained information about when you should expect to receive registration details.

Completed: 10/02/13
Interview Invite: 01/22/14
Interview date: 01/28/14
Waitlisted: 03/03/2014

Since I'm accepted to two other schools, will likely give up the waitlist slot. Best of luck to all those accepted or still awaiting their acceptance.
